That's us spending 3m on Hagi...

It will be an absolute waste if he's played on the wing, he's stinking of scheidt unless played as a no10.

Very creative, good finisher, zero pace, zero strength. I can only hope he's shown a bit more in training than i have seen, he reminded me a lot of Kranjcar, has the mind of a top class footballer but physically miles off.

Aye he was class at Utd. He was lucky that he rarely needed to worry about any defensive side to his game as he (normally) had top class backs behind him which allowed him to concentrate on attacking.

Great watching him in full flow.

1m over three years according to reports, doesn't seem a big risk? I like to see creative players in our league and he looks to have a bit of skill?

I think it's a lot more common than you think, lots of deals are structured over the length of a contract and many more paid in installments.

Just hoping he can prove he's worth it. Hopefully he's bulked up a bit over this break as well.

Definitely has skill and a good football brain.

The real question is what kind of impact can he make in the league. It looked to me like he suited European football much better.

A midfielder we need as he is capable of the killer pass. Has vision.
Not scared to have a go from distance as well.

I am sure that it's not yet official unless someone knows something else?

Genk pulled the announcement from their official page yesterday so nothing concrete as of yet.

What a midfield.

Would give my right bo1lock for one half as good as that nowadays.

Aye - they were the halcyon days.

Our current midfield desperately needs a Barry Ferguson in there.

We might get a ferguson rather different from his uncle though.

Agree with that.

Need someone who can dictate a game on his own.

Not sold at all on his nephew mate.

Sure he has the odd good game in 3-5 but not good enough for Rangers at this moment in his career.

He wouldn't allow any slack-ersed defending or gifting the ball away either. They would get the rocket of all rockets up their erses.

When the chips were down - he would always drag the team over the line by hook or by crook.

I liked Barry, but was he not labelled the crab by critics, for sideways passing?

Forgot to say, sorry for claiming a Rangers three in a row in Skol finals during late eighties.....my memory is shot, man.

It's nice to look back on the hay days, but Gerard needs to be realistic for your club.

Your days of buying established players of the highest calibre are behind you for now, and a long way off in your future. Kent is an example of not being realistic. For his price you might have had 2-3 prospects in your squad.

The tables will eventually turn and buying a creative mid is a positive step towards that. Enjoy this moment. Could be a star for you one day.

I’ve lost count on the number of prospects Celtic have bought in the past 20 or so years and not all will work out. But when one does, It’s a good feeling. Keep in mind while Celtic fans have only known success in recent times, most of us are old enough to remember Rangers successes too.

It took a long time to turn the tide and it can begin with a creative mid. So cut the guy some slack.
