He is a top manager, we were fortunate to have him to transform the club the way he did.
tbh I was bored in the end, his football became so stale.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yaeh tbf that about sums up his tenure in hindsight.
Took us to a much higher level and professionalism but stalled after that.
We were regularly humiliated in Europe (that PSG trip will scar me for life) and eventually domestic teams had started to suss us out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on
he came in and did what Deila tried to do and had us playing terrific football. A couple of his signings became first team regulars but the rest never really made an impact.
By season 3 I was bored. teams knew how to stifle us by simply not being dragged out of position and Rodgers never changed it up, the players never took chances to make things happen. The way he left was a shambles but I wouldn't have been sad to see him go that summer.
He took our standards and raised them so high. Lennon to be fair came in and maintained them but changed the attacking intent meaning teams sitting in could still be got at through them.

Very good coach, complete whank in all other aspects.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Believed his own press agreed, but a bit harsh that no?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you think so.
I thought you got worse the longer he was here. Signings, performances and his integrity all went downhill as his tenure progressed and I preferred his work in the Office.

Leaving Celtic for Leicester in the middle of another record-breaking season with his foot well and truly on Rangers' throat makes him a whank in my eyes. But then again I'm a Celtic Da and that probably makes me a whank as well
I was dissapointed when Brendan left but thought how many times I've did similar when it came to my life and work?
Each to their own opinion on him though, I still wish him well for the most part

Did you claim to be a boyhood fan of your former employer? Did you leave midway through incredibly important work?
Are you a greasy fake bastirt?
All rhetorical btw

No but managers and players mostly always give it the big U'n when at a club as football fans, or a whack of them anyway love to hear that rhetoric?
Is a a calculating man concerning is life/work/image? aye probably but I don't get upset when someone that I don't directly know does what he did but that is only imo
"is he a calculating man"
I was assured by someone in the business that Kouassi cost only £1m in fees? Don't know why he was signed though? Would be tremendous if he went on to be a Genk regular. However, that said, looked pretty poor for us when I saw him.
Miller, I think was fooked by lots of things. The spotlight from the 'best young player in the world' thing. The early big contract - £3.5kpw I was told. The kid when he was 17. BR moving him to LB / WB - didn't have the legacy of learning to play there.
On BR, most of you know my thoughts but every manager signs some dud and not sure his record is any worse than any other? Every player moving is a risk when you put them in a different environment, formation, team mates etc. Dembele, Toure, Sinclair, Hayes, Ntcham, Roberts, Bain, Edouard, Benkovic, Burke, Weah I would argue all did well FOR THE REASONS THEY WERE SIGNED. Obviously, those last 2 are controversial but they definitely gave us a lift for the run in irrespective how it ended. 11/26 aint bad?
BR was no different to the chest thumpers, badge kissers, lifelong growing up fans on the park. I'm surprised any fan would think he should be?
11/26 aint bad?
-------------------------------------------------------------
FWIW, I count Lenny's first spell stats as 18/42 - similar percentage! That includes Johansen, Izzy & Ambrose which might be the controversial choices?

Luckily my old man doesn't care for religion in that sense and chose Rangers and i did the correct thing and supported his team.
