The BBC News has declined significantly in recent years. Specially the online "news". They are continually diluting there qualitybjournalism with
clickbait none news articles that are suited to some of red tops and OK magazine

The bbc are the only one I’d trust really, maybe c4. The issue is they keep getting the license fee cut, they were made to foot the bill if free over 75 licenses.which has an effect.
Sky were a former murdoch mouthpiece, would take a long time to move all the editorial staff singing his hymns, so expect a slant there.
Fox are worse than the likes of Russia today and shouldn’t be allowed to broadcast.

It is funny as hell when you see clips from their morning show when the three stooges do an interview and you see them like guppies at feeding time when it doesn’t go as planned. Dumb, dumber and even effing dumber as I like to call them.
Unfortunately, we, the public are partly to blame for the news we are given. Generally, people don’t want balanced factual statements delivered in a moderate tone, they want their current beliefs reinforced not challenged or changed.

China is by far the most racist country in the world, and it's crazy how openly racist they are to all foreigners, when you consider they are a global super power.
It's part of their culture. If you are foreign you will always be inferior to them. You can marry a Chinese and never be a true citizen.
Some of the newer genrations, via the Internet, are starting to behave better. Some though from rich families are just so spoiled they see looking down on everyone as just the norm. If you are poor in China you are invisible. The only worse situation to a poor Chinese would be being a foreigner lol

They've been led to believe they should never have any shame in the fact they are superior to everyone else.
People don't blink an eye if a poor chinese person working as a bartender etc spills a drink and gets abus or grabbed by the customer. If you're foreign and you have a dispute with a Chinese person you will 99.9% of the time be guilty/in the wrong.

GM backtracked to save hemmtheir brand....
Everyone is scared of them and no one will call me out.

News does not mean stenography. It involves a lot of editorializing. This news utopia many media critics envision of opinion-free news has never existed and will never exist. As a famous quote says about the core job of a journalist: "“If someone says it's raining and another person says it's dry, it's not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out the [expletive] window and find out which is true.”"
What a lot of people want from news is balance rather than fairness and objectivity, but balance isn't necessarily fair or objective. Good journalism shouldn't necessarily require that you represent stories from "both sides" while making truth and facts a matter of subjective opinion.

I think the point is they have one of the largest openly racist cultures on the planet and that is rarely reported.
Japan has had issues with Koreans stranded in Japan that werent even allowed to learn their own language and we're treated as non citizens, but they generally operate with way more moral decency than China.
China has issues that it refuses to accept are even issues and the Hong Kong situation is different from reporting on just how superior they feel they are to every other culture.
Maybe the Saudis are worse, I haven't experienced their regime first hand and again the media coverage is limited but China is a super power.
Their average wage is only a little behind ours but very few Chinese have any acceptance or respect towards other culture's. We won't even open then can of worms that is Taiwan 😞

there is no way the communist party is losing power anytime soon. The level of control is unreal and you can argue unlike places like US and UK where the few see improvement in their living standards in china the vast majority of people have. So it is not in their interest to really rock the boat to fight for the very few outsiders that are there.
The only thing that can rock china is if their supply line gets choked up. But while there are many nations to exploit that is not happening anytime soon.

this is sad, I like to think I love people from every race. But I am finding it harder to justify treating chinese people with love/respect when their government and people openly show contempt to other races
Then I have to remind myself that even if 99.99% of a type of people act a certain way, I should not be prejudice against the person in front of me as he/she might fall into the 0.01%

China has several generation's of older people where the majority grew up with little to no education. They spit everywhere and have no concept of manners or personal space/hygiene . These people obviously raised their own children and so on. When you combine that with a culture of rarely questioning what you are told...which is pretty much China is the best and everything is fine, then you have problems. Throw in an economic surge unheard of in modern times and you now have some people that are from poor backgrounds having billions.
The tier 1 cities in China are as expensive as anywhere in the world. Internet exposure means things are changing slowly but it explains why Chinese tourists have such a bad reputation abroad. They've been led to believe they should never have any shame in the fact they are superior to everyone else.
People don't blink an eye if a poor chinese person working as a bartender etc spills a drink and gets abus or grabbed by the customer. If you're foreign and you have a dispute with a Chinese person you will 99.9% of the time be guilty/in the wrong.
If you're black people will openly mock your appearance and it's common for places to not accept any foreigners.
The media won't take on China though as it just feeds the beast. Only the Internet can change the publics perception of what's morally right through exposure to other countries, and how they live.
General motors tried suing a Chinese company that produced a dodge (I think) that was an identical copy but much cheaper. Even Michael Jordan couldn't win a copyright claim in China but GM filed one.

All MSM is bad, actually not bad, it's bloody awful. No one does true journalism anymore.
CNN is the worst of the worst, I can't believe people here are saying it's not that bad, they are so against Trump they've lost the ability to do actual real reporting.
Not only they are bias they manipulate facts, and the constant race baiting is really divisive too.
What really was sickening and got me to totally discount them was what they did to those Covington kids, all because they supported Trump. And that's not an isolated incident, they continue to do it again and again.
Another thing I'm disliking about the Mainstream media is their reluctance to criticise China on anything.
Big injustices have been done by China and no one really says anything basically because China has made a lot of investments in sports and western media, everyone is bowing to the money.
Real journalism is dead.

News does not mean stenography. It involves a lot of editorializing. This news utopia many media critics envision of opinion-free news has never existed and will never exist. As a famous quote says about the core job of a journalist: "“If someone says it's raining and another person says it's dry, it's not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out the [expletive] window and find out which is true.”"
What a lot of people want from news is balance rather than fairness and objectivity, but balance isn't necessarily fair or objective. Good journalism shouldn't necessarily require that you represent stories from "both sides" while making truth and facts a matter of subjective opinion.

I think the point is they have one of the largest openly racist cultures on the planet and that is rarely reported.
Japan has had issues with Koreans stranded in Japan that werent even allowed to learn their own language and we're treated as non citizens, but they generally operate with way more moral decency than China.
China has issues that it refuses to accept are even issues and the Hong Kong situation is different from reporting on just how superior they feel they are to every other culture.
Maybe the Saudis are worse, I haven't experienced their regime first hand and again the media coverage is limited but China is a super power.
Their average wage is only a little behind ours but very few Chinese have any acceptance or respect towards other culture's. We won't even open then can of worms that is Taiwan 😞

Well the WHO didn't listen to Taiwan about Corona because they don't see them as their own country, they told them in January that there is evidence of human to human transmission but WHO ignored them.

there is no way the communist party is losing power anytime soon. The level of control is unreal and you can argue unlike places like US and UK where the few see improvement in their living standards in china the vast majority of people have. So it is not in their interest to really rock the boat to fight for the very few outsiders that are there.
The only thing that can rock china is if their supply line gets choked up. But while there are many nations to exploit that is not happening anytime soon.
