Daily Mirror said he's set to join us for £120m this summer.
It won't surprise me if he joins Man United.
They are building a good team but defensively still weak with Maguire.
a bit less than whatever mbappe is worth
The guy is on 170k a week already I believe. He left city to get games and establish himself. I doubt if he does leave this summer (which I'm not actually sure he will) he'll go anywhere other than a lmao established club ready to win things. I wouldn't rule out Real Madrid either.
-----------------------------------------------
The issue with that is none of those clubs seem to be interested in the player as much as we are. Nobody else has put in the work that United have done.
Seeing as you mentioned Madrid, according to Marca their plans for the summer have basically gone out the window due to COVID-19.
They're saying that Kai Havertz was a priority for this coming summer but that's no longer a possibility. I don't think they've ever been seriously interested in Sancho, neither have Barcelona which is surprising but that's the way it looks.
Also if it's been said Madrid financially couldn't afford Pogba, they're not going to be able to afford Sancho.

Yeah the wages is what rules us out. We have Salah on 200k a week and if we bring in Sancho at 300k a week it will upset the apple card. Maybe a year or 2 in our Nike deal would help us compete.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont think wages would be our angle, as it stands we offer more in other areas than Utd. Sancho proved hes not greedy and all about money turning down 30k a week at City as an academy product, risking it all in the hope of more playing time abroad. So a player like Sancho may well take 200k at Liverpool but demand much more at Utd and thats surely understandable as it stands?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that a big selling point for United is the opportunity for him to be part of a front 4 for both club and country. Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho have the ability to form a front 3 for many years to come.
*front 4 for both club and country
*front 3 goddamn it, front 3!
This signing makes too much sense for it to happen...

No one questioning if he can hack it in the PL?
Is it just because hes english so we assume he wont have any trouble
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s fair question. Though I think he has all the tools to succeed, it may take some time to settle in playing against a different calibre of player.
Personally I think the more pertinent question is whether he can hack it at United, as I don’t think his talent is in question. But coming to United for a triple figure fee, being expected to really drag the attack up a level and taking on the mantle of our next great number 7 will bring massive pressure. Does he have the mental attributes to take this in his stride? That’s a more difficult one to answer.
No chance we get him for less than £100m and likely much more.
It'd be a massive gamble.

How on earth are we ''defensively weak'' with Maguire, We kept 9 clean sheets in 11 games before lockdown.

I’m not. That’s exactly my point. It makes all the sense in the world, so I fully expect us to sign that ginger lad from Newcastle for £65m instead.
I hate Woodward as much as the next man, but in fairness to him in this instance it’s not quite as simple as just going out and signing him. If we don’t get him I don’t think it’ll be his fault.

---------------------------------------------
He gets blamed for not signing players the club didn't make any attempt to sign for reasons that weren't down to him so of course he'll get blamed if we don't get him.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll happily stick the boot in if the time comes, but it’s a bit unfair to preempt his failure at this moment.
If it's deserved I'll happily do the same. He shouldn't get away with anything that's blatantly his fault but I'm not going to blame him when it's clearly not or when there are other factors are involved.
Yeah I know. I think he’s done quite a good job of blurry the lines in recent years with the way he’s restructured the transfer department. Seems like there a few people with a strong influence on the transfer targets, with vetoes, which makes is easier for him to inevitably shift the blame when signings don’t work out.
