Knew we’d make hard work of this.

Not sure I'd call it hard work when we won inside 28 overs

Rashid is absolute class as a one day bowler, such a shame he could never convert it to test level.

England throwing the cricket

Couple of England's forgotten men doing OK in Surrey's first match of the County season - Mark Stoneman hit 45 and Scott Borthwick currently 87no.

Surrey's latest young prospect to look out for is Jamie Smith, currently 20 years old with a First Class century to his name already. Looks like a good young bat in the making, and he's keeping wicket for Surrey now both Foakes and Pope have England duties.

Smith is currently 36no with Borthwick, as it happens

Not caught much of the ODI series but did briefly catch Bairstow giving the ball a good thump.

You can't read too much into this series but I'm really not sure why Vince or Denly are in the squad. Denly was meant to be in the XI but for an injury giving Billings a chance which is fortunate as he's had a couple of good games. Pleased to see Banton in the side though as he's definitely one for the future.

Also Hameed looking good on debut for Notts

68 in the first innings and currently 48* in the 2nd.

Not counting any chickens, but fingers VERY firmly crossed as he'd be the ideal answer at 3 for England if he manages to keep it up.

Much as I've always had a soft spot for Scott Borthwick I just don't see him ever being international quality.

Jamie Smith brings up his 50

I know WK is the position we're probably best stocked in, but it never hurts to have more young talent in the ranks

And Borthwick falls for 92. Smith has put his foot down and is up to 67*, and Lord Rikki Clarke is in to bat at 6

Pleased for Hameed, hopefully he can start rebuilding his career at Notts.

Interesting that Rob Yates is now opening for Warks with Sibey in the England set up which pushes Hain, another prospect, up to 3. It'll be good to see how those 2 get on.
