I always find the actual death stats almost moot.
I wouldn't mind seeing the numbers on accidently fell on their face, ribs and knees during overly aggressive profiled arrest stats.

Candace’s whole point is that 16 isn’t much and it’s just a way to spin a narrative.
She is a troll.
The reality is so many other statistics that support racial profiling, inequalities and racial brutalities from the police etc.
The stat about % of black people is moot. If a thousand white people were shot and killed (very specific stat) the population % would be low but it would still be beyond unacceptable and worthy of protesting.
She has used a ridiculously small metric (what about injuries, or deaths by other forces, why does it matter that these people are armed if they are not shooting, etc). To basically invalidate the atrocities.
She panders to the right wing and subsequently to racists, and uses her platform because she is black - they want someone to validate their wrong and often racist opinions. She is a troll of the highest order and isn’t worth the oxygen she breathes in.

This...and there's a lot of POCs all over the world that don't see this part. I agree with the fight for equality and even reparations for hundreds, if not thousands of years of 'mistreatment' but with keeping the fight solely about race just defeats the purpose in the end and we'll continue to be stuck in this cycle...and those that benefit the most from all of this will just continue to benefit.
There's so many people that don't know just how deep this thing is.

This is how I see it. The way these slogans are engineered make it a them and us battle which is a tough sell. It needs to be a united front all for one, one for all to make headway.

I saw it as just saying that cops aren't going around shooting people on mass (thats the narrative i feel some people are pushing, doesnt excuse the other bad stuff)
I already know they can be abusive in others way. My mistake really shouldnt have posted that video as i dont agree with it all anyway just a tiny part.
The US does feel a police state at times I have to say. I have lived here ten years and I have been stopped seven times on my own and a couple more times with the missus. In the UK I had about three interactions with police my whole life.
