That's my view on Johnson too. When he was in hospital, I found myself hoping for news that he was on the mend every day, but I would still like to see him removed from office at the earliest opportunity. He strikes me as a charlatan, an opportunist, all style (of a sort) and little substance. I also think he couldn't care less about the average person - even more so than other politicians.

Yes, especially when he banged on about foreigner health carers saved his life but insisted we must keep NHS surcharge as it will cost 700M removing it

Despite being poor parents, and making a bad decision which had terrible consequences, they are also victims and deserve some consideration.

I hope it is the German man under arrest and it is proven. 13 years is long enough for it to reach a conclusion
It's not often I'm on the same side as Robb, Winston and Barry, who made some telling comments, so I am happy to be so.

I find it disappointing that not one person on here who has been quick to condemn the McCanns for their actions - in some cases suggesting that they should have their other two children taken from them and put into care - can not even acknolwedge that there may have been some change in how parents view risk between 2007 and now.

Even if you still feel strongly, is it really so difficult to accept that maybe, just maybe, you're using 2020 risk assessment to retrospectively judge a situation that existed in a different world to the one we're now in?

There are things that I would not do, which my parents had absolutely no concerns about doing.

Why?

Because the risk of these things is now perceived to be higher, in part because of cases like this.

If the McCanns are completely innocent of being involved then we all should be able to stop and think about why they did what they did and how they must feel about it now.

But then all of that said, this is JA606. Binary, entrenched positions are what it is all about I suppose.
