They’ll be like a roaming squad getting stuck in where required.

I defo think it will kick off though Winston and what we’ll see if videos from both sides saying the other started it.

As you say does no good for anyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course.

The decision for 'football fans' to go into London is a terrible one and given what I've seen of this week and last week, it really is just an excuse to go in and shout abuse, and to cause violence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds just like what's been happening over the last week or more to me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Except for the vast majority it isn’t.

62 injured police by the left, lets see how many the 'right' cause
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not a facking competition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Those making out the far right are worse than the cants who attacked the police last weekend are turning it into a competition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You seem determined to defend one side - so you're doing the same.

Fact is that these people will do nothing but add to the violence and in many cases, probably start it - based on what we have seen.

Underlying racism amongst them, no question.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How can they add to the violence when you are claiming the protesters are peaceful.

Have a good think about it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The ones in my example were peaceful.

Try reading what I am saying ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So there has been violence by these protesters from BLM and the far left then.

I thought by reading your description of them they all turned up on unicorns holding big fluffy puppies in their arms
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, you're desperate to see a narrative that isn't there because you're biased, clearly.

Try reading slowly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are defending the BLM and far left protesters on here and attacking the other mob who up to now have done nothing.

You are assuming that violence will erupt and putting that solely down to the football fans, despite the fact that violence has already taken place by the protesters already.

You are accusing others of being on one side of the argument when in fact you are doing the exact same thing.

What a hypocrite

What I don’t get about this ‘democratic process’ when removing statues is - if minorities are (rightly) offended by slavers being paraded above them as a statue, surely in more cases than not the majority will vote to keep the statues up.

But will the majority be right? Should black people have to see offensive statues just because the majority of a country were too ignorant to vote to get them down?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I suspect the majority don't really care.

How many people knew about that statue before this week?

Now it's so important that we need to protest about it's removal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt very many know anything about the "statues" they are coming to London to protect
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed.

Winston Churchill is about all the info they can muster.

The whole concept of statues is ridiculous anyway. Take them all down. People talk about erasing history but the Hitler one was taken down and I’m fairly certain people know who he was

Please do show me where I've done that?

Good luck with that.

"You are assuming that violence will erupt and putting that solely down to the football fans"

Again, where have I said it's solely down to the football fans?

Good luck with that.

In a democracy the majority is right.

If more of the population want the statues to stay than don't then they should stay.

The Bristol vandals broke the law and should be punished.

Bur there is an element of people seeing what they want to see.

Some see Churchill as a racist.
Some see Churchill as a war hero.

Both are true, but the individuals overriding perception is what differs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about the Colston statue? Is there a different perception of him aside from a slave trader? Yes he contributed millions to Bristol after the fact. That doesn’t make anything right.

Football fans on a football forum saying there is a connection between football fans and racism. 🤦‍♂️

How many people enjoy football? How many of those are racists? As a percentage?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't think there's a connection?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably no more than any other group. I'm ready to be corrected with figures. How many enjoy football? How many are racist?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As if there are confirmed figures.

Open your eyes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn't say official...

Shall we hazard a guess, maybe 10 million people in the UK enjoy football to a degree? How many are racists ooking for a fight?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did I say it was a majority? Or even a large proportion?

I'm saying there's a connection, and there is. Anyone who has spent any deal of time going to games can see it with their own eyes.

If you want actual figures then you're in the wrong place - there are none.

Then you clearly cannot read, because I've not said either of those things.

Perhaps best for you to find some toys to play with while the adults talk, because coming here and lying about things that have been said just so you can then cry about them doesn't achieve much.

Just Shoot (U10408)

In my view, there's a higher degree of racism and violence in football groups than society as a whole, which i why I think there's a connection.

You can disagree all you like, but I live in North London and I see it, very clearly amongst the Spurs fans.

To be clear, I’m not actually campaigning for an end to statues but if there was a world where statues were deemed to be taken down then fair enough, bring them all down 😂
