All advanced governments know almost everything about all of their citizens at all times.
They absolutely have the ability to track and trace and are now in the unfortunate situation where they to pretend that they don't.
They know where you are, where youve been, where youre going and who with. They know what your favourite pawrn site is, what team you support. Everything.
Some people believe that guys like steve jobs and zuckerberg are some kind of visionary gurus who made billions by their ingenuity and the sweat of their brows. More like egotistical maniacs who are allowed to pillage the globe in return for harvesting massive amounts of data for governments.
Can't tell you how i know but an enterprising techie could calculate how much computing power the UK govt needs to manage its legitimate operations. You could then make some educated guesses about how much it spends in that area.
When youve done that you can then ponder what its doing with the missing 85%.
And this is me without a drink.

So having this quite impressive qualification was your back up retort to possibly being accused of not making your post meaning clear
