I’ll be completely honest, I have no little knowledge on why you’re asked to take the knee. I know it started in the NFL and that’s about it. For me though it is a symbol of solidarity. If I’m asked to take a knee to show my support to this cause I won’t hesitate.
The rest of entire world as to do it. Or we wont be looked upon as decent upstanding people..
You need to show it!!! so we can add or remove people from the list.
You wouldn’t take a knee to show support for racial equality?
I’d do it in a second.
I think Raab is confusing ‘bend the knee’ with taking a knee.
I’d much rather take a knee for BLM than for the queen. Taking the knee or bowing to the queen is pretty pathetic really. Just a symbol you should be beneath a family who has just been born into where they are. Just emphasises the class thing for me. Why should we just naturally show upmost respect to people have just been born into the right circumstances

I would BUT I don't want to have to DO IT. because then I would be added to the wrong do-er list.
I should be able to be make that choice. without fear.
If someone chose not to do it. They would naturally be called this and that. Racist or uncaring and callous and so on. When they don't know the person whatsoever that's my gripe.
I personally have no time for falseness in humanity.
Just like the looters and vandals that follow these marches. They don't get called racist.. they get called emotional and caring that the show violence and aggression against the imperialists
Racism gets labelled on the folks who don't want to kneel.
That's my issues. you can be 100% against racism. That you don't have to pander to signs and actions. You use actions by not accepting racism in your own world. by calling out racists yourself. after all this show of support what will change??if you want change you have to do it with in your community.
An insincere gesture focusing on the wrong issues. It is a class issue as much as it is a black issue but yet everyone seems quite happy to ignore the plight of many.

Fair enough, I understand where you're coming from
Things like this enforce the crowd following, groupthink mentality which itself is responsible for a lot of racism. How many people do racist things simply because their friends/family do?
People need to be encouraged to think for themselves and challenge things. If the killer cop's collegues had done just that, George Floyd might be alive today.

Quick tip for all JA users - after writing up an article, check to see if it stats with the sentence "totally agree with Domininc Raab on this." before you post it.
If it does, make sure to not bother with it

Well let’s be honest, Raab doesn’t know his ar$e from his elbow, and like the OP has no clue about the origin of the gesture.

Nothing clueless about it. A movement aimed at ending discrimination that is entirely based on discrimination.
I do not need to "take a knee" to show my support for racial equality. My actions all my life have done that. It is a pathetic gimmick for some people who maybe feel ashamed of their past racist behaviour. I am not going to apologise for the actions of others. All Lives Matter.

Oh dear, one of the racist All Lives Matter brigade.
First of all ,all lives do NOT matter, which is why you are seeing worldwide protests against racism and police brutality
And secondly literally nobody has asked you to, take the knee.
if you’re not going to do something at least know what it is you’re not going to do and what it means.
