Don’t think we’ve had any Greeks since Sammy?
He’s a limited footballer but gave 100% and provided some good moments.
Lived a boyhood dream by scoring the winner at Ibrox for Celtic as well.
No less than 8 trophies to his name too.

John Collins being linked now. I'm sure he was with United as an s form signing but then McLean let him go and he signed for Hibs. Did he do a good job as manager of Hibs? Won the league cup but then the players wanted him out and in the end that's what happened.
Here's a name that would be left field and not in the usual Scottish merry-go-round, Heimir Hallgrimsson. Good pedigree, has worked under Lars Lagerback, then on his own as the national coach. Always liked how they went about their business. Played to their strengths and no matter the opposition they went out to get a positive result.

Can't see Sir Craig going for it. I wouldn't have thought the structure of the club would appeal to him.
I'd say no to Collins (and you're right he did get released by McLean - I remember hearing him talk about how he used that rejection as a catalyst for the rest of his career).
I'm more than happy with an outside choice as long as due diligence is done.
As brilliant as Levein was for us, I wouldn't be keen on him. He seems far too stubborn and doesn't seem to be willing to admit the mistakes he's made - meaning he'll keep on making them.
It was also the right time for him to go when he left at United. He'd built the 3rd best team in Scotland, but had conspired to finish 5th twice in a row. If he could build us up to that level of stability it'd be fantastic but I have serious doubts over that.
I also lost a lot of respect for him when as Scotland manager he played players from a newly-formed Third Division team. The Scotland job seemed to break him, and that decision was one of the biggest contributors.

Don't mind Dundee Utd coming up at all. I think quite a few are forgetting the very fabric of our league. Tannadice has always been part of that - certainly in my days. You know what you are getting - sheidt seats in a ground - nothing new. Hearts going down takes away another 'aspect' of the old days. I have never understood the hatred of Hearts by Celtic supporters. I saw the poster 'Lexbaillie' call them 'the most hated club in Scotland' - not sure why, and, backed by any evidence/statistics.
