Im sure Woodward gets the message Lazio are sending here

Gonna need a new set of fullbacks if you’re switching to a diamond.

Else he’d be a great pogba replacement and then sign sancho, which would be much more balanced imo. Or keep pogba and just sign Sancho or someone for the right of course

Don’t see anywhere’s for him unless we sell pogba.

We’re high in numbers in midfield, although I thinks we could do better than Fred, Pereira and Matic.

Have you guys been linked with Traore? He makes great sense as an alternative to Sancho

Stop trying to make the diamond a thing.

We might get the diamond if Poch comes. He was using it as Spurs.

there were reports about a month ago that we were in for him as a "cheaper" alternative to sancho...which didn't make much sense then (£70m was the mooted fee at the time), and makes even less sense now. but he's a good player, clearly, though whether he can make the step up to world class player i don't know.

still, it beats the more recent rumours that we're looking at young willian.

I’m not advocating playing it every week, and the argument about our fullbacks is valid.

But if creativity is people’s issue, surely a five man attack of Bruno, SMS and Pogba linking up and feeding Greenwood/Sancho and Rashford would address the problem? You’ve also got five proper goalscorers on the pitch there.

And what happens if Pogba is injured yet again as things stand? You’ve still got the problem of two of an ageing Matic, polygon boots Fred, and McT trying to feed a frustrated front four.

It just always ends up being too narrow. So having even more creative players in the midfield doesn’t mean it’ll be a more creative team. We won’t sign him if Pogba stays anyway.

this would be funny if it weren't so apt

I don’t think that squad would be badly suited to making it work well, though, apart from AWB at RB.

You need outside midfielders who are good athletes, versatile, good in close quarters/triangles and inventive. Pogba and SMS are that.

You need a super-mobile ten, which is Bruno, and pacy forwards comfortable working in wide areas, which describe Rashy and Greenwood.

If Dalot is any cop and sorts out his defending and if Brandon comes on as I expect (he was superb offensively for the U23s), then it’d make a lot of sense to me.

Otherwise, I still don’t see, for 50% of our games, how Pogba and Bruno play in the same side.

I do, because we’d still lack width. Narrow formations are easy to defend against in the prem. Even Conte played a 343 because he knew it. We won’t sign him anyway.

it's this guy, lanky midfielder, we were linked to him a few years ago:Sergej Milinković-Savić

we actually had his brother, a GK, on the books a few years ago, but could never get a work permit so he left the club.

Yeah for that price he’s not worth it, for less though I think he makes great sense as a right sided winger for you. He’s convinced me of this talent and progression this season

He wouldn’t be of grate use to us for the majority of games. Despite him improving, he still doesn’t have the best end product. And his crappy floated crosses wouldn’t be of much use to a team that has nobody that can head the ball.

wolves' owners are loaded, and seem to be ambitious, so we all saw how united were bent over a barrel by leicester last summer, i would fear a similar outcome if we tried for traore.

but i do like him, i saw him against city earlier this year and mentally had him down as a somewhat clumsy force of nature - very fast, very strong - but his close control is very impressive, and his crossing seems to be improving all the time. at the moment he seems a little more one-dimensional than sancho (who can happily go either way, be a playmaker as well as a wide forward, and is much more prolific), but he is improving all the time.
