The country will be finished - in debt up to the eyeballs with mass unemployment. Have people even bothered to look at the current GDP figure - it's horrendous
------------
You could tax the world's richest 1 percent ten percent of their wealth and that would pay for the economic costs. The billionaires would still be billionaires.

Well that's a given. Look at the figures - the rich are massively increasing their wealth. To be fair - even a simpleton could make big money at the moment. Meanwhile 'Joe Public' are in for a massive wake-up call.
They are opening the country, when the death toll is next to nothing now.

Everyone by now (though the British public are idiots) knows who are vulnerable and who are not (statistically).
Caution is of course required but you the country cannot possibly continue to finance people (not all) to sit on their sun loungers - it is madness. The furlough scheme has clearly been good but it should/should've been reviewed perhaps weekly - not bloody 3 monthly! You then get companies just taking the p!sh!

The covid crisis could have been trump's moonlanding had he had the capability of even George Bush jnr and thrown the kitchen sink at it. Had the CIA had their briefings late December taken seriously, we could have been way ahead of where we are. UK couldn't even get a track and trace mobile app over the line. Been impressed with Oxford university though.

Oxford and indeed quite a few other UK-based organisations have put in some sterling work. A colleague at work has tripled his money as he bought some 'penny shares' which have done him a right touch.
I don't think any country has 100% nailed down T&T though - happy to be corrected.
