Honestly, I can't keep up with who has and hasn't complained about which particular public gathering.
Go on any Facebook news post, whether it's the BLM protests, the counter-protests, the crowded beaches, the illegal raves in Manchester of the title celebrations in Liverpool, and you'll see people saying, "Why are people complaining about this when they weren't complaining about [insert different event]?"
But invariably there were actually lots of people complaining about that event as well...
Pretty sure people just see what they want to see
The said this wouldn't happen when/if they were allowed to continue to win the PL.
We are talking lives here. Think about that for a small moment.
I think its only fair these people/fans who sadly ignored the club and manager and cities pleas to avoid this should get exactly what the millions of beach goers who ignored government and city/town advice have gotten for the last 3 months and the BLM mass gathering demonstrations etc.
As long as everyones punished equally and fairly for the same offences im fine.

What by potentially having to live with killing members of your own family? is that just punishment for them by you? I'm not talking about piddling fines FFS.

This. Let's not make it a Liverpool supporter thing, because we know the same thing would happen if any team won the league after a 30 year wait, even our own. I wouldn't do it, nobody in this discussion would hopefully do it, but thousands would.
But obviously, it's selfish and completely unacceptable. And they should be punished, as should anybody who makes a decision to not social distance
just proves what everyone was saying, they're happy to kill people to win the title.
proved it last night, even after disagreeing with their own mayor who said this would happen

I agree. The punishment does not fit the crime, and clearly isn't acting as a deterrent
But how are they going to punish thousands of fans?
And thousands of sunbathers in Bournemouth and Brighton?
And thousands of protestors?

They can't possibly punish all of them. But if they can identify people and punish them with something more than a fine that amounts to a slap on the wrist, that will deter others from congregating in these areas.

Exactly my point, dont punish them any differently. If the other millions got away with it then these should to, if they got fines these should to. Nothing new is it?
Not condoning it, its sad they've ignored their manager and club tbh, could question are they true supporters? But some would argue understandable even under the circumstances especially at whats gone on months before this unpunished.
Its called social responsibility. it's lost in Liverpool, quite obviously.

The sunbathers, the non distancing protesters the Liverpool fans... all the same. Twarts.

Yep. It's the same thing I felt when I heard people on podcasts and Spirit of Shankley saying Liverpool fans wouldn't congregate outside the ground. Of course it was going to happen. There are morons in society and to think that fans of any club are mutually exclusive from the idiots rushing to beaches in unbelievably stupid and naive. Not to mention arrogant

Absolutely. People think, it won't happen to me or that if it's a special occasion that it somehow means they have a free pass from the virus on that occasion. Just people trying to justify their unwillingness to stick to guidelines that aren't that difficult to stick to
Please, please don't declare yourselves as victims just because you can't celebrate winning the PL as you wish to. Its tough, I know, I was there when we did the same vs Blackburn and how we celebrated.... But, come on.
