We can be cautious and fans still enjoy watching us play when we are successful. Those two are mutually exclusive.

Must admit there have been occasions both in the ground and during the televised games recently when I've just wanted us to show a bit more ambition, the number of times we turn and go backwards instead of forward particularly from free kicks in the opposition half is a little bit frustrating. But as I've said before there's a reason for it and I trust Nuno and its difficult to argue that we would be any better off any other way.

There's a debate to be had over all those draws, had we been more adventurous in our play how many could we have turned in to wins and how many defeats and would we be better off?

So DJ, you like sitting on the edge of your seat for the last ten minutes biting your nails.

I would rather have a two goal lead and ENJOY the last ten minutes. We don't do that often enough.

Our first halves are horrible to watch for me. Only made enjoyable by the fact it is my team not losing.

Nuno has Wolves extrmely well organised and drilled in the work expected of them. Passing back might seem negative, but it draws the opposition on and gives us space to pass it through midfield and spray those long diagonal balls.

Not only is this a headache for the opposition, they are left chasing the ball, while Wolves players conserve energy letting the ball do the work.

It's actually really well done and needs organisation and discipline to work. I love watching the opposition struggle to break through, while aware we could break on them at any time.

Love it

Patience girls, we've gone from being a goal down at halftime and having to fight back in the second half to be 0-0 at halftime and picking them off.

I have to wait until after Arsenal's midweek game so that the info is up to date. We don't all copy and paste this stuff you know

Yes I realise that now.
Top class information, well done.

The outcome of Man City’s appeal against a European ban will be known in the next fortnight. If it’s upheld then 5th place will be good enough for Champions League qualification. 6th and 7th would get into the Europa League with 8th going in to the qualifying rounds

The Wolves website have done an analysis of how managers have fared in their first 150 games in charge. A number of managers have achieved a success rate of winning around 40% of their first 150, some a few percent more than that. But Nuno is the first to win over 50%

There's still a scenario or 2 left DJ. For example, if Arsenal win the FA Cup and finish where they are now, then the 8th placed team does not qualify.

I understand the transfer window expects to open on Sunday 26th July.

Who would you like to sign, keep or get rid of .

Obviously for me, we need the whole of the regular players but some of the fringe may go.

I think we need 2 or 3 good signing to push on again next year.

What do you think.

I will have a think and make my suggestions in a later post.

I think we need another centre back and midfielder as a minimum over the summer. They need to be good enough to challenge for starting positions too. Possible a striker too, so we can rest Jimenez a bit more.

Need to strengthen that core of the team if we want to keep pushing on.

Agree with Tam regarding needs, we needed them last year and nowt has changed other than the emergence of Neto really.

Be great to keep the entire starting rotation of 16 or so but I suspect the time has come where one star will leave but that doesn't have to be bad news if we use the money smartly. Jimenez would be the biggest blow.

This summer will be very interesting with regard to comings and goings. Today is when contracts end and loan spells finish,(unless extensions have been made due to the virus).

Miranda, Costa, Bonatini and Ronan are due back from loan spells and there are a few out of contract, so we will see players leave.

I guess it all depends on who Nuno wants really. To push on we have to get better players than what we have now and quite frankly it'll be hard to do that. Possible Saiss may be the weaker link of all our current squad and someone better may be available.

I hope we keep our star players, but Fosun are an investment company and may see the $$$ signs to make a profit.

Nuno will not change his idea of working with a small senior squad, so unless we lose one or two for a profit, expect the same next season.

Plus a huge amount of credit must go to the backroom staff for keeping the squad fit and free of injuries.

Costa won't be coming back, his loan has a permanent deal agreed.

Yup, missed that one and I think we get over 10 million quid.

Costa has done well for Leeds after a slow start and played his part in them being top of the league. Looks like he will have two league winners medals on his CV. Although he is supposedly tied to signing for Leeds in the summer he was strangely included on Wolves list of retained players which has cast some doubt on that.

Cavaleiro's season at Fulham has been almost the opposite. Was a star for them early season but has evidently become inconsistent and has lost his place in their team at times. But he has signed a permanent contract with them

What worries me is Moutinho, a fabulous player and one of our best. Problem is his age and the number of games he plays. He obviously cannot keep going much longer and he would leave a very large hole when he goes. For those reasons I think we need to get in a capable replacement as cover.
Saiss, although I like him is likely to cost us in the long run with his mistakes and bookings so again I would like cover/ replacement for him.
Controversial one now. Jota does not score enough goals or make assists for a player of his ability. Again I would be looking at Neto playing more regularly and bringing in a proven striker/winger.

I like the look of the Norwich guy Todd Cantwell and dare I say it
Greasy Jack from Villa.

Just a few early thoughts.
