What do you give it out of 10?

i don't like giving scores, because it all comes down to opinion and what people enjoy. Some will love this game, the mechanics are solid and combat is tense.

But I'll make an exception for this. I would give it an 8, not because it is a bad game, but the original story weighs heavy when playing it.

Took my about 5 attempts to warm to the original. Which turned out to be very rewarding, but i don’t think merits quite the status it gets...

Cinematic and story style was superb(which is where the praise, and righty so, comes from) gameplay, at the time good but not exceptional. It was mainly about the story and character interplay, which was superb.

It was almost as if it was more movie that’s game, which is no bad thing At all. From what I’ve heard from others is that the story can be gut punching in tlou2, and very bold.

If so, then bravo. But without the admittedly superb narrative of the first, From gameplay alone, it wasn’t anything special.

Not to say I won’t be buying tlou2, I want a story when I play games, and naughty dog do it superbly..

Picked up yesterday and have maybe played an hours worth so far.
Just experienced first real group of runners. They are facking insane

Just read What Chris H posted, I was avoiding reading the thread. But I can see where he is coming from, this is not TLOU and it won't be for everyone.

Just had to leave a comment in there. Sped past everything you have said though

Just started it myself the other day. Don’t know if it’s me just getting used to the controls but combat is quite tough. Died on my first real fight with a group of enemies

The combat is better I think. A little bit more nuanced and rather than just bashing Square once you got someone.

I am playing it on Hard. I swear you couldn't stealth kill clickers in the first one. It makes them a bit of breeze compared to 1. I used to always gulp when I heard them but now I just slowly walk into the room, crouch and knife em.

This is my one criticism of the game so far. I arrived in Seattle and currently mooching around. Lots more to play.

This is a quality AAA game, there is some controversy with this game which you will understand when you play it. so good is subjective.

I will say there is plenty of challenge waiting for you.

I must admit Im struggling to complete this one.
