Nothing meaningful happens for the 1st few days.

So many players that show "potential" get toppled in the first few rounds. So you get to the latter stages and again it's journeymen against top players or you'll have a youngster completely freeze and lose 9-0 like Robertson final recently.

Also, how on Earth are Wenbo and Murphy playing in the 1st Round?

So 2nd round matches start tonight then all of tomorrow, then round 3 matches will be Friday morning and afternoon, Round 4 will all be played Friday evening. Then the quarter finals and semi finals will be on Saturday.
That is all far too messy!

2 and a half days and still the 1st round has not ended. They are supposed to play 7 matches. How can the 1st round take this long? Some matches have even been cancelled and still it's not ended

I think the issue is there are only 8 tables so they are getting 24 matches in on day 1 and 2, 8 matches in morning, 8 in afternoon and 8 in evening, in Home nation events though they usually get 32 matches in a day for 1st round.

It's very messy, Arsenal, I don't think Judd or Ronnie worry too much about the money, they are at the top of their sport & earn very good livings.... Titles is the key to legendary status, & only one of them currently has it...

Ronnie does worry about money though, remember he sometimes refuses to make a maximum because prize money is too low lol, whereas there are people like me and you that would literally just be happy to make 1 maximum! although to be fair I'd be happy to make a 50 break let alone a century!

A 30 break would get me giddy 😂, Ronnie did win £500,000 a few weeks ago, & with his other work & endorsements he'll be on around £5 million a year easy..

Yet he asked his mother for £10,000 beginning of this year what on earth does he waste all his money on.

Sorry to keep banging on about this, but we just had 1 week of the Championship League with some terrible matches and now we've had nearly 3 days of Round 1. What you are saying about only 8 tables Arsenal makes sense, but only 8 tables is another farce.

We are snooker fans, but if any normal guy was getting into snooker after the World Championship and looked forward to the new season, they would've switched off by now because of this obsession in making every event have 128 players.

European Masters usually only has 32 players with a few qualifying rounds beforehand. I'm not sure why they changed it for this season.

They are showing the Mark Allen match from this afternoon and the other day were showing the Neil Robertson 9-0 Final from last year.

As soon as the main televised match finishes rather than showing table 2 coverage they decide to show highlights lol. They never did that before.
