Thought it would be tight finish tonight, but Williams put's in a decent performance whilst McManus just wasn't on it at all.

Williams wins 10-5, expected it to be a lot closer.

Dave Farrar is the mystery commenter for the beeb this year, specialises in football, he seems OK, but c'mon Beeb, sadly no Willie, & JV in Spain.. Get Clive Everton back..

I see that Joe Perry has also started doing commentary recently, and now that Alan McManus is out, he might be part of the team also. It's almost the tell-tale sign that your snooker playing career is on the downward hill once you start picking up the microphone.......

As much as I like Joe Perry I find his commentary so cringey. Dave Farrar is okay to be fair as at least he seems knoweable. I hope Alan McManus will be commentating for the BBC. I really am missing John Virgo and also wish maybe they could get Terry Griffiths back.

Yea, Arsenal, Griffiths is a good call, I put Eurosport on & quickly turned it off when Dominic Dale opened his mouth... Neal Foulds is excellent....

I actually like Dominic Dale commentary to be fair, I think Neal Foulds is also very good along with Dave Hendon.

Phil Yates is okish... I guess I just like the old brigade..

Yeah Phil Yates isn't bad but sometimes he can be a bit annoying but I also prefer the old brigade too. Shame Mike Hallett has disappeared completely off Eurosport.

I actually like Dennis Taylor, However his knowledge of the modern game is bad. How many times do you hear him say "I haven't seen much of this guy before" or things like "I think he won a tournament earlier in the season"
He also thought Tom Ford beat Judd Trump in the 2014 world snooker championship.

Slessor having a nightmare against Yan - even without the crowd, occasion is getting the better of him - needs that magic mid-session cup of tea to do something for him.Robertson looks the better player against Liang, but Liang is grinding it out to be level.

Yan make a lovely century in the 4th frame, Slessor needs to win 3 of the next 5 to have any chance in this match but either way I can see Yan running away with it.

Liang had a great chance at levelling it at 4-4 but made some huge errors and Robertson leads 5-3, already fearing the worst for Liang unless he can win this final frame of the session.
