I think Bielsa has also realised just what’s needed. I think he was a little overwhelmed by the run in last season.

He certainly showed at HT that he knows what’s needed to get us over the line.

Three more wins should do it I think. Brentford will surely drop points and Fulham without the Serbian hitman wont trouble us now.

I do hope so.

I think there's been a lot more resilience throughout from the lads. At times we sacrifice the free-flowing attack attack attack mentality for a more pragmatic and, occassionally, more effective approach. Hence our stellar defensive record.

Being able to sit back and soak up Fulham's pressure yesterday is something that we wouldn't have been able to do last year, and is a valuable ability that has helped us mature as a team. That bit of experience has helped some of the lads massively.

Hopefully they can see it through and bring us home.

I was admittedly sh *. tting it yesterday, pre-game.
Even though I felt we'd deliver a bounce back game.
I was also thinking back to last season's melt down.

At half time, when Messiah pulled Bamford, I was
stunned. I said on the thread, this could be the season.
It was. But in a massively positive way. Genius move.

Adding Pabs and Gianni was a masterstroke.

When the third went in, I reckon we all exhaled. Once
that final whistle went, I was convinced we're going
up this season. After a night to think on. I feel even
more confident it's our year. Champions.

Bats... didn’t you also say on the same thread that we had no options but to play christiano 😂

And I’m sure you used it for an Odog dig too!!

When Bamford walked off the pitch at half time, I remember thinking he looked absolutely shot. I think he'd run out of steam. He puts in a shift normally, but it must have been a double shift yesterday.

Hope he's not coming down with something!

Spanish, is 'Odog' Orta? Is 'Christiano' Bamford?

I know my stance on Orta (and club): genius move
getting Messiah. However, his and club's fook ups
regarding strikers to either back-up or god forbid
replace Bamford have been woeful. Fooking woeful.
With a finisher, we'd already be promoted.

So my dig at Orta yesterday was down to not having
a viable replacement for Bamford. Especially when
Fulham can start Mitrovic (dirty fook but lethal).

Messiah has driven me mad at times during this
season especially. Due to his stubborn approach
to Bamford. So, yesterday I was 'stunned' when he
actually pulled Bamford at half? Why pick that game,
after he actually scored, to pull him? After all the
games when he should've been pulled but wasn't?

In that same thread, I called for Pabs and Gianni
all second half. And damn if MB didn't do just that.
But at the expense of Bamford? Hell if it didn't work.

Genius move. Absolute genius move. Fooked
Fulham over with two chess moves.

In conclusion, Orta's MB move (in my mind) has
got us up (too early to say that I know). MB is a
genius. Bamford is still sh. *. T. Orta & MB will
need to find a top notch striker or two fast.

Because we're going up.

I will add, as 46 pointed out, Bamford ran himself
ragged for the cause yesterday. As my Dad
repeatedly said, he works so bloody hard to
help defend.

My gripe with that is, great, but I'd much rather he
bury the boatload of chances he's been gifted.

Watched an interview with don reevie and brian Clough the day he got sacked. Very good watch.

Clough had a weird personaltity smiley but sarcastic.

Got one chance yesterday and took it pretty well

Fair points bats.

I was surprised myself when he scored with his first shot to be fair. Don’t think anyone would question his chances to goals ratio as anything but poor.

Think it’s time now to stop going on about Orta! - there’s talk of him moving, I’d actually like to see Bielsa given a budget and him pulling the strings.

Ortas done his job, all things said it’s been debatable to how well he’s done his job, you could says he’s done things on both sides of the spectrum, I just don’t get the posters who focus so much on him they canteee anything good at all.. just all a bit negative vibey to the club !

Agree Lubo. He did. No argument. And I'm not on
here trying to change people's minds. I doubt though
mine will ever change on him. Especially if we do
go up.

Spanish, agreed also. Orta bashing does no one
any good. MB gets him free drinks in Leeds.

Think he deserves a bashing sometimes to be fair, but to make a scape goal ridiculous, th lays all I’m saying 😂

To be fair, outside of the lack of adding a striker
of some calibre, Orta has built a pretty solid team.

Obviously, it took a football God to make it all tick.
And he gets credit for that hire too. He's no scape
goat. Agreed.

Tell you what though bats, imagine what Bielsa could do with a huge budget and more input?

You hear of clubs, building teams around players, we need to build a club around a manager, by that I mean a structural change.. ok so Odog diff, fine, let’s give Bielsa the power in the transfer market.. he’s so respected everywhere, have to use that pull

posted on 28/6/20

I've not seen any reason to say that Bielsa should be in charge of our recruitment.

He did work hard especially when he lost the ball in midfield and almost gave that penalty away. He tracked back and made the clearance.

Seems he had an ice pack on his knee when he was sat in the stands.

I just wish he would get off his phone at times. Looks like it’s glued to his hand!

100% you are bottling it. Leeds always do. Worse bottlers then my club spurs and that’s saying something.
