All that write up of how great he is, then you end with "He can play our cup games"
You know some people will have issues with his age and fitness but at least having him in the team will be great. Even with all his injury woes, he rarely had a bad game in Arsenal shirt unlike our current #10
Santi
Unfortunately, while he would be our best midfielder by far, I don't think this league is a good idea for him at his age. Let him retire in Spain.
The Arsenal decline started every since Santi got injured
Just watching some of the other top teams and you realise how far we have dropped in terms of quality
We’re desperate for a player like him now. Funny how pundits never mention our poor midfield, they just talk about the defenders in same way they have for years. Shows they don’t really have any original analysis, just repeat themselves over and over

This is so true.
The defence for me has actually improved under Arteta.
However, very little talk about the diabolical MF.
Poorest set of midfielders we have had at the club for a very long time.
The MF has been dominated by pretty much every team this season
Cazorla wouldn’t make any difference tbh.
Typical failed Wenger Era player. Small, unathletic, not much end-product, no winner’s intangibles.

He was a nice little player but not the type that actually wins or puts up big numbers.
What was he? 5'6? He looked a little heavy as well. Wasn't much of a goal threat, and it was cringe when Arsenal fans tried making him out to be some big time player.
The only times he won were as a sub with Spain in 2008 and riding Ozil's coat-tails to the FA Cup in 2014 & 2015.

12 hosts in his first season with ya before being shoved out of central attacking midfield role for the absolute train wreck that has been Mesut Ozil is the best return we’ve had from a central midfield player this decade you prat. He then moved deeper and proceeded to be the only player we had capable of keeping possession and passing to teammates consistently.
Please stop talking nonsense, you utter embarrassment.
Cazorla was class for us, he suffered when he was pushed out wide to accommodate Ozil.
I'm sure we offered him a new contract but i think he refused as he wanted to go back to Spain after his injury nightmare.

Hilarious how we decided to get rid of him just as he was getting fit when we held him injured for so long
By the way, let's ignore the obvious trolling in this thread and concentrate on how f*cking great that goal was. That touch from Santi is absolutely incredible and the finish was bloody good too.

After you Madam!
Here we go again! Some Gunner fans selecting another "bit-player" who may, or not, be good. That approach is not working, hence the apathetic roster today. We need someone (and it's not Arteta) who knows how to build a TEAM. Gunner problems are a result of neglect and poor signings over the past few years. Let's examine what we've got, then re-sign those who have a glimmer of talent and who want to stay. Then build upon that with a concept of TEAM driving all new hires. No more band-aides on this large tumor please!
