Not best but should be in list is reckoning is Xabi Alonso.
1) Xavi. It all revolved around him.

I think any other answer is just wrong.
Yeah Xabi Alonso is in the mix as well
I'd have Busquets in the top 10.
Top two would be Xavi and Iniesta for me.
Should this not be which Spain was the best Xavi team?
1. Spain 2010
2. Spain 2012
3. Spain 2008
4. Spain 2011
5. Spain 2009
Xavi is the best without doubt IMO.

Xavi. Shouldn’t really be much of a contest.

That's like including Paul Dickov in city's list of best players of all time

Casillas at number 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When Spain won the World Cup, Casillas conceded only 2 goals in the whole tournament and kept clean-sheets in all 4 KO games. He made game-winning saves vs Robben in the Final & from a penalty vs Paraguay in the QF.
In the 3 tournaments that Spain won, Casillas kept clean-sheets in all 10 (ten) KO games and won 2 penalty-shootouts. Staggering record.
You could make a case he should be #1.

Was just about to mention butragueno, fantastic striker.
Xavi was a big player but I’m not sure if he had the individual influence that everyone else thinks he had.
Tbh the top Spanish players will be dominated by 2008 onwards because that’s when they won the titles.
Best at football? Xavi
In general I kinda love Ramos though. Watching him slam in freekicks now is mental really. Pure entertainment footballer and a quite brilliant career. He may actually end up having the best career in history.

Yh either him or Alves when you’re going of pure numbers on trophies won. But international tournaments of Ramos gives him edge.
Xavi IMO was at one point second best in world only to Messi around the time they won the first euros and World Cup.
Fabregas there but not Xavi? Arsenal fan per chance?
Fabregas was mainly a sub for Spain in the glory days during the actual tournaments.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, it started in 1992 so they still miss out.
Inietsta was better than Xavi
Dani Alves didn’t win a World Cup, that’s the only knock against his career.
But Ramos is just incredible. In terms of the clutch headers, the Panenka penalties, the winner’s intangibles.
