And in the toxteth which sounds painful.
Thought Andre would realise he can't park where he wants.
5cumbags, I hope they die a slow lingering and painful death.
I guess he'll be out for at least as long as Tom, big loss this one, he's been head and shoulders our best defender and the main reason we've been moving up the table late on in the season rather than sliding down it with Keogh.

Echo, it's a mess.
An eventful season, just when you see the light at the end of the tunnel you find out it is on the front of the train.
Hope he's okay. Must be a scary thing to go through, so thoughts with him and his family.
How strange ... Igor is "back" and a quick check on his profile suggests we may have seen the last of Mr Silk.
Wisdom will be back in no time ... he's a tough mother f##ker. Probably stitched it up himself with a paper clip and a shoelace.

It’s been one hell of a season. Yet more adversity for the squad to deal with.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger as they say.
Get well soon Andre.

The strangest thing was that Mr Silk didn't seem to post any drunken ramblings ... I missed those đť
Being stabbed in the toxteth area sounds nasty. But it could have been the trossachs!
going by the story seems almost like it was a set up
Is The Sun trying to infer anything by reporting it happened in Toxteth, scene of the race riots in the early 80's, as opposed to just saying it was Liverpool?
I'm not one to defend The Sun but maybe they just said it was Toxteth because it was Toxteth. Can't really criticise them for being accurate for once.
After he was stabbed he drove himself home before calling the police. If he hasn't had surgery it suggests it is a reasonably minor injury, let's hope so.
Anyone know where he lives? Its quite a long drive to Derby from Liverpool, at least 1.5 hours.
With his satnav it's about 1.5 years.
All the best to the lad, hopefully its not to serious and he's back quickish for you guys!..
"With his satnav it's about 1.5 years."
The cars footballers have these days it'd take about 1.5mins, but if his relatives want him to visit again they'd best move to Nottingham, at least he won't have as far to drive in emergency!..
Toxteth is not the most affluent area and Wisdom was driving flash cars as a teenager and I don't suppose his tastes has changed much since then. It is likely his car stood out like a sore thumb and so would attract those who think that the owner had plenty worth stealing. Footballers have been targeted by thieves as easy pickings. The thieves generally know when they are going to be out their homes. They also have a tendency to wear jewellery which makes them a target in the street.

why am I getting a 'he brought it on himself' vibe from this

No I don't think he brought it on himself so lose that vibe. He's a big guy and not many would take him on unless they were armed so he probably felt safe as he should do anyway. There have been a few high profile robberies of footballers recently, both break ins at their homes or street crimes. No one ever believes it will happen to them.

A similar blow would be potentially more painful and even more likely in the Gorbals
