We used to buy players from them in the 1970's, Brian Flynn and Ray Hankin being two that spring to mind. Now we seem to be their feeder club. How times have changed
Do people hate Burnley? I just thought many don’t really like their style of play. Which is fair enough, still means Dyche has done a very impressive job with the limitations.
The fans who paid for the banner last week are skumbags though.

what a good job Dych is doing, admirable.

They had only 7 available players all needed to be put in the squad. 2 keepers, all youth products. United Youth player McNeil played in attacking midfield and was surprisingly good.
Considering their start, theyve done very well.

I don’t think much about them, and inly watch them when they play us.
I can't say I watch them play too often. But whenever I have they've seemed to spend half the game hacking people down, and the other half moaning that the referee has given a decision against them for said hacking.

The new Stoke, really.

They are not stoke though. They are a well drilled hard working team. If Mourinho played 4-4-2, it would look like this.
It waits to be seen if he can do better with more money or be the new Moyes. He is battling with his owner about his squad quality and lack there of and it has been suggested he may leave.
Whatever the case may be, He is doing a fantastic job.
Burnley FC reflects the Town itself. It is in need a cash driven injection and cultural makeover. Both epitomise 'English' labour and toil rather than urbane creativity passion and style; an image of which both the football club under Dyche and those who are running the Town itself seem to be unable or unwilling to shrug off.
No-one likes us.. We don't care.. We are Burnley!
Burnley is the 'Luton' of the North.

They will likely drop like a lead balloon if he does leave. Chairman would be mad to let him slip through his fingers.
I don't dislike Burnley. Not a game I would go put of my way to watch, considering their style of play but I appreciate the job Dyche does and that he plays a style which gets the best out of the club, with its limited resources.
However I feel many British coaches get pigeonholed into this category where they play a physical defensive style, when that is what they have to do, due to where they start their careers. Perhaps if they were given a chance earlier with bigger clubs they would develop their tactical approach better.
Although there are a few who have had success at smaller clubs with a good brand of football, like Rodgers at Swansea, for example.
Yes I dislike Burnley. Would love them to go down alongside West Ham and the rest of the “B” teams (Brighton, Bournemouth).
Just not a fan, no exotic names, no real flair. Two big lumps up front in Wood and Barnes. Not a fan.
Also have a great record at OT lately. Always turn up there but get spanked at City.
Get rid! Hopefully they get into Europa next season which exposes their thin, average squad and they have a nightmare season

I meant in the way people view them. Not hated but not really liked; respected but not seen as fashionable.
Who hates Burnley?
I don't.
Dyche has done a fantastic job.
Turf Moor turmoil – A trashing 5-0 defeat at the Etihad few days ago, Clash between manager Sean Dyche and chairman Mike Garlick over expiring contracts and transfer investment, yet an ongoing investigation against the racist elements of their own fan base.
Yet, they sit 8th in the PL level on points with Spurs, within touching distance of European football.
Nothing against Burnley, they're just one of those PL sides I'd happily see relegated to make way for a Forest or Wednesday or even Leeds
Dyche is your typical english manager with one tactic which is run like a headless chicken, hope for a set piece goal and defend for live.
Big clubs in England will not give jobs to english managers with the hoof tactic with 2 big lumps upfront.

That is doing a disservice to Dyche and to Burnley.
No way do they achieve what they do with that simplicity.
And how can Dyche prove himself to a big club while at Burnley? Is he expected to play the style of football that City do, on his budget?
Basically a bunch of shīthouses arent they? Very physical and one of the worst in the league when it comes to play-acting and time wasting.
That alone wouldnt be so bad if Dyche didnt sit on his high horse banging on about the other team diving and cheating whenever they lose.
But obviously the worst thing is that they take points off us at Old Trafford every season without fail. Doesnt matter how badly or well we play - their goalkeeper will turn into a facking prime Lev Yashin for one game only.
So yeah, they can fack off.

When you put it like that...
Their players were an absolute disgrace when we played them away this season. I get putting yourself about when you're a limited side but that was well over the top
Hes doing a brilliant job. Uses the little he has at his disposal and all the dark tricks like time wasting 40 min in play games of football Butnley shouldnt even be surving in this league yet thanks to dyche who got them promoted to it twice theyre on for their 5th season in 6 n a bit for him?
