He'll be dining at a higher table than Spurs that I'm sure of. We're back to being a Europa league club now - he'll be managing in the CL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
even with Newcastle he'll shoot above us no doubt
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's so funny? They're only 6 points off us now with Steve Bruce in charge of them.

Poch is a young manager and has zero experience in long term management at one club. I think he will now have learnt that you need a disciplined approach to building and rebuilding teams

Did he not rebuild the team brilliantly from the mess he joined it in? We were always going to decline at some stage and its the manager that gets it in the neck.

Anyone who thinks King Jose is a long term manageri wish Jose success at the club but have no doubts he will be here 2 seasons before parting ways, which the best part will be LukaBrasi leaving the site (if not banned by then)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch did doing an fantastic job of rebuilding the club but equally left the team in dire straights results wise.

Never said the King would be long term but if he wins a trophy in the next 2 and a half yrs what does that say about Poch?!?!

Never leaving this site homeboy. Been here since the BBC days came to an end. I will support the club always and put down the likes of you at any given opportunity LOL.

Long live the King!

I really don't get the hate you have for him, sandy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don`t have any hate for anybody Winston, let alone a manager I don`t know. But I think he is being severely overrated by lots of our supporters.

He inherited a great set of players, and any half decent manager in my opinion would have put, at a minimum, one trophy on the table with at team that was made up of Lloris, Walker, Toby, Verts, Rose, Dembele, Son, Dele, Kane, etc

That he didn`t, seriously shows him to be not much better than OK, but nowhere near top notch, and that is I doubt any really mega club will touch him, and why would they, what`s actually on his CV?

He had five years at Spurs, which for any modern manager is an eternity. How many of the really top dogs would put up with a manager that won nothing for five years, he would have been out after a couple of seasons.

Just think if Poch would have still been in charge, Spurs would probably have been six points behind Newcastle.

Timing is everything. There are not many of the big clubs are actively looking to change manager.

Possibly Juve, as they’ve not taken to Sarri by the looks of it.

I actually wonder about PSG. Not sure how much longer Tuchel will get if he can’t crack the UCL. Poch is ex-PSG, and from what I can see they generally give managers 2-3 years to be a success in UCL - the league is a foregone conclusion so will give him a chance to win silverware

Okay but you may need to re-check this if Jose fails and if Spurs head south.

He inherited some good players but I'd argue he was a large part of the development of Kane, Rose and Son, as well as Alli and others.

If you don't see the club match the heights that he took Spurs to, and you don't win a trophy, then I think you'll need to review this opinion you have.

I am always open to reviewing my opinions Winston. No opinion should ever be set in stone. But I have moved on from Poch, and most of our fans should do as well.

Do you spend all your time pining over David Moyes, a manager like Poch that won your club nothing.

Not true mate, nearly all of them were Internationals, and the players like Eriksen, who came from Ajax had all won titles.

Sandy when talking about Poch: ignores Prem performance, only focusses on the cups.

When talking about Jose:

Poch significantly improved pretty much all the players he inherited.

Means zero unless you win it. And let's be fair Spurs getting to the final had nothing to do with the manager, more to do with the incredible amount of luck they had, and a player that scored a semifinal hat-trick, then was dropped by the manager for the final.

posted on 30/6/20

It has nothing to do with the manager in qualifying for the CL.

Nothing to do with the manager getting through the groups.

Nothing to do with the manager getting through the round of 16.

Nothing to do with the manager getting through the quarter-final.

Nothing to do with the manager getting through the semi-final.

Manager's fault we don't win the final.

Totally agree Sandy.
