"With the season 4 weeks away, it's time to get a move on and get everyone settled before end of the month, no flucking about this season." As if we would 🤣

I was keen on the idea of Hart if we couldn't get Forster so I'd like to see if we go for him now he'd be first choice

The problem with getting a move on right now is a lot of teams are still playing so we can't just go and sign their players. We may find a lot of our business is in the first few weeks of the season when the other leagues have ended.

yup Keeper, CB and LB, hold onto Ntcham and Eddie and we good to go. Being greedy I would like another proven striker as outside of Edouard our forward line gives me the fear

STV now saying Forster is staying at Southampton to fight for his place

I thought will all the health problems he had down ther he'd of been hoping to get back up here permanently

getting a new goalkeeper now becomes a major priority

you can't be taking risks with keepers, push the boat out for one

seen we've been linked with Claudio Bravo and Vasilis Barkas

but can see us going for Marshall, would maybe take him, defo before Hart

Aye found this a bit strange, supposed he has a bit of self belief about himself again with his time up here. Anyway wish him all the best if this is the path he chooses 👍

Should have pushed the boat out for Forster IMO, Lazio home and away as well as the LC Final he was utterly immense.

Would have been my preference too, but maybe he told the club he wants to fight for his place at Southampton and have another crack at the EPL, get back into the England squad?

Just had a look and he`s still only 32. Ok for a goalkeeper. Would £7m have been ok for most on here?

Wouldn't be overly against Marshall coming back.

apparently Celtic had a deal in place but Forster was told he'll be getting a shot at the #1 jersey

can't blame him then I suppose

I'd pay up to £10m for a 32 year old keeper if they're good, you get 5/6 years out them and experience to pass on to younger keepers

Apparently this is the case, ah well we move on, maybe we should have held onto Gordon 🤣

He'll have the Euro's in his mind next season.

England number 1 jersey is up for grabs given Pickford is absolutely honking.

Not surprised he's been immense for you lot this season and Southampton keepers are taking it in turns to have howlers.

I must say i'm glad he'll not be coming back, looking forward to Joe Hart rocking up he's been mince for years now.

I can't remember who said it but someone said similar when Forster was returning - saying he had been pash and was 3rd choice at Southampton

At one point Hart and Forster were England's top 2. Forster has proven you shouldn't write them off

Celtic keepers get judged in Europe

look at Bains record domestically until that Cluj game, people were loving him because of Valencia away leg

signing Hart won't stop us winning the league

I think you should stick with bain, tremendous servant to the club

can't remember many saves from Forster that saved us any points last season

Forster had one dodgy season, Hart hasn't had a good one since 2014.

Agree

I said similar recently when folk were saying he is worth 12-15 points in the league

I'd say a top keeper could be 4-6 points a season by saving a win from being a draw or a draw to a loss but how many games a season do we drop points in where a top keeper would make us unbeatable? Not many I'd presume. Yes the league cup final is a prime example of the big games having a top keeper making a difference but I'm not convinced spending £7-10M on a keeper is value for money unless we think he could get us through the CL group stages???

I'm being unfair, i just looked he had a decent season in 2014-15.
