Back for last game of season I think

Do you think if picked he'll take the knee before kick off or do the Championship not do that?

Three I believe, eight game ban, two before the break, we've played three. Should be back for Barnsley, Derby and Charlton.
Really underwhelmed by Meslier and he looks very flappy on corners. Really believe that the squad are anxious about having him between the sticks and that's what has led to our indifferent form.

yeah Meslier has made some mistakes of late.. him and Kiko are a right pair.

thing is, if you want your keepers to be good footballers, and be able to play the ball about, you're going to have to sacrifice in other areas, especially at championship level.

you're not going to get a mixture of Peter Schmeicial and Ederson i'm affraid.

Half want to see if Joe Hart can get an exemption
and get in goal for us. And I can't stand him. But,
it's better than the alternative.

Didn't think Meslier had a bad game at all yesterday.

I don't have a problem with him for this season and whether we finish top or not will not depend on the keeper

GK is not the main problem, it is the other end!
Seriously though I have a feeling we probably will not see Kiko again

Oh BTW Joe Hart??? City got rid because his distribution was so poor (as well as being error prone)

Bats been playing champioship manager again, wait till LIW cops for this thread

Joe Hart was still a quality goalkeeper during his peak years. If any manager can get him close to that level then they will have a very good keeper on their hands.

Sorry faith but he's as flappy as hell, heart misses a beat every time the ball goes anywhere near him, especially in the air, his judgement is very poor.
Too young and inexperienced for this level, really hope we don't pay any money for him in the closed season.

Meslier wasn't meant to be our first choice keeper, so it could be asked is the pressure on as young a lad as him a bit much!..

They say if they're good enough, but that happens very rarely with keepers!..

It went downhill for Joe when all that product
made his hair fall out. Poor sod. Football Samson.

We wouldn't have seen Meslier in action if Casilla hadn't been so unprofessional in his conduct on and off the pitch, and that's not even mentioning the race element.

Of course Meslier is flapping, making mistakes, etc. He's only 19 or 20 with little to no experience at this level, ffs.

He's one for the future who's been chucked in at the deep end. White did him no favours at all last night. I think he's doing alright in the circumstances.

"Indifferent form?" P40 W22 D9 L9? At the top of the table all season and currently six points clear of third place. We are in pole position!

Sorry, Elsbels, but your notion that insecurity at the back is the reason for "indifferent form" is nonsense in my view. Casilla certainly did not inspire any sense of security, did he?

Ans as for Joe Hart, you have got to be kidding, right?

Joe Hart - just remember the Iceland match - Euro 2016.

I rest my case.

Isn't Mesliers league record P6 W4 D1 L1?
Is that indifferent form?
If so what do you think would be good form?

Meslier has looked what he is. A young player playing his first set of games at this level - Championship is a different game to the French league where I know he had a decent run of games before.

He's done okay. Made some decent saves against Fulham, could have done better against Cardiff (but again not massive errors) and perhaps on the goal last night. I don't think he's shown any particular weakness on corners to be honest, I can't think where anyone is getting that from so far. He's been better than Casilla for me but only on limited amount of games. If he makes a proper clanger of a mistake, will be interesting to see how he recovers.

Leeds restrict the opposition to so few shots that we really do need a keeper with good reflexes capable of those TV saves which neither Kiko or Meslier have shown. And neither is particularly amazing with their distribution or feet to make it worth it.

Looking at the goals against Cardiff and last night, I'd say any keeper would have struggled with them, and people shouldn't forget, some goals he's let in should have been cut out by players in front of him!..

You know, something like what others do to us as we saw last night!..

Germany, the positioning was suspect on Holliet's goal. Think the second one was harder to deal with, was just a great strike. Last night was similar. None of them are major errors, just more positioning that he will hopefully improve on.

Ben White at fault for 2 of the last 3 goals though, you are right that Meslier was failed by players in front of him. Neither Hoilet or the lad yesterday should have been able to get shots off

Is anyone seriously suggesting they would rather have the liability that is Casilla in goal than Meslier. He's f@cked it up for us so many times it's barely believable – we'd have got promoted last season with a decent goalie in place. Meslier's not perfect and still learning but he was no way at fault for Luton's goal. So many of our fans have used keepers as scapegoats in the past and given them so much stick that we've unsettled them and haven't got the best out of them. Support the lad and he'll do the job.
