Well not really - to sort this out we need to fire Mourinho and also change the squad. Under Pochettino all we needed was to change the squad.
He took the cheap option last time round. Doing the same again won't make a difference. We had the right man but didn't refresh the team and take next steps forward.
That might have even meant being brave enough to sell someone like Kane, Dele or Eriksen earlier on for a ridiculous amount (ala Coutinho) and use that on 2/3 good players.
Jose's sacking is going to make 2020 an alright year.

In the back 6 or 7 absolutely. All best sides are built from the defensive base so time to start all that again.

The players don't want to play for him. They look confused and devoid of any sort of motivation.
Even if Jose stays, Levy will have to give him a war chest to spend and we will still be pony.

I mean in terms of lost revenue for failing to make European competition etc
At this rate, keeping Jose means either spending a fortune more to make Europa, or missing out on Europe entirely and still spending a packet on his ludicrous salary.
Probably best financial decision to pay him off and cut losses.
