Some interesting replies.
I guess I didn't take into account how it would feel after waiting for 30 years to win your next title, as i have never experienced that myself.
Some of the scousers gave the usual 'fking lovin it mate' but some at least gave what I thought were honest answers.

NP, its not just the wait, even last season i was immensely proud of the team 97 points n CL winners n before that CL finalists, n europa finalists, sure we lost, still proud of the run n the lads n how they've improved and taken defeats on the chin and kept going etc. Most people would be demoralised 97 points and losing out on the title.
also Greg there is this perception of also "they will be unbearable if they win it" or " they will never stop going on about it" but I think you have seen even with your own family that it is just a load of pooop. Fans celebrate for a week or so and theb goes back to normality and current season.
I am sure that they are still very happy, but there is no doubt that the way things have panned out has taken some of the gloss off their achievement. it is a weird syndrome, I can never work out if its the players who lose their hunger or if the opposition are more determined to beat the champions, or if its a combo of both.

Liverpool will be competitive next season no doubt....but will drop more points that this remarkable season..

Had we turned up and been absolutely ballacks from 1st to last minute then id be annoyed. In reality we didnt play too bad but were punished by a ruthless city side when we did have lapses in concentration. Given our concentration levels have been exemplary all season which can be evidenced in our current standing in the league I think tonight the lads earn a pass. They have all probably consumed more bevvy in the last week than they have for the last 2 years combined so them lapses were inevitable.

maybe not, not important to me though im a football fan and a liverpool fan not overly interested in other clubs n fan rivalry myself. bit of banters fine but those who let it consume them and become genuinely hateful are and always have been pathetic in my eyes.

Yeah I agree with that.
I’m sure Liverpool fans are over the moon. At the same time, I’m sure they would have preferred an Agueeeeeroooo moment or something similar. It’s human nature to enjoy something when it goes right to the wire.
I actually think it’s a real shame that it’s happened during Covid. It’s been their year for 29 years and now it actually is and they can’t celebrate it properly!!
