How’s everyone enjoying their calm and peaceful Saturday Morning? πŸ˜ƒ
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tickety boo.

Gym done. Showered

Fresh ground coffee, fruit smoothie and home made pancakes.

Can’t be better

Good manπŸ‘ I'm sure there will be a few suggestions about to be posted as to how it could be better πŸ˜‚

Sensible scientific minds line Devi Sridhar who says things like:

"Shows Zero-Covid Scotland can only happen w/ England’s cooperation. Pubs open in Scotland in 2 weeks when Covid would have been negligible & much safer to go out. ‘Zero COVID’ approach means back to normality. But not possible right now given divergent strategies among nations."
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why? Will the virus have disappeared?

How many less pubs will be in business?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think she addressed your first point in her BMJ and New Scientist pieces (£6 for a New Scientist these days by the way, scandalous).

I don't think she specifically addressed the pub industry though.

She’s not addressed any industry. Not one. Completely refused to engage. Was absolutely slaughtered by Scottish business leaders last night on the radio.

She’s destroying the economy at a far faster rate than anywhere else in Europe other than Wales. Scots jobs being lost to England. More companies about to go bust. Airports about to close for good.

Most importantly was the fault refusal to have an “adult discussion”. Just completely disengaged as she did with Westminster and COBRA

Boris Johnson

For letting idiots go to pubs to mingle with other idiots to get infected with Covid-19.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will you be having a shandy when Scots pubs open, mate?

I avoid pubs being Ulster Scottish with cash, but like beer garden idea.

Watch her I turn on dropping self isolation on specific countries before the 10th.

And of course it will be much more sensible.

Laughable were it not so tragic

Also worth noting it was the Westminster government who disengaged with the devolved governments (source: all the devolved governments) by making decisions and announcements with no discussion with said governments.

Best point you've ever made

Oops

Ivan. That is just unsubstantiated nonsense I’m afraid. Sturgeon demanded to be involved which she was. She then wanted to go her own way which is her right.

What is Westminster to do? Wait for her when she already had a track record of jumping the gun with announcements, stating policy ahead of Westminster and then doing it differently?

Scotland has devolution which is absolutely right. But don’t fwcking whine if you deliberately choose to do your own thing while everyone else moves on.

See it for what it is. Not what you’re being told.

And essentially everyone has a choice. Just because shops, restaurants and pubs open doesn’t mean you have to go. We don’t. And have no intention of until we see how this goes.

I prefer my leader not to encourage shaking hands with Covid patients. I know it’s a small point but i think it need reitereating.

A little what?

I completely acknowledge that Boris and the government have handled this badly and are only now really starting to get to grips. They’ve also however done some great things and I think everyone has been completely ignorant of the huge challenges they faced.

Still it’s been a poor show.

But wee Nic gets away with weekly doses of utter sheite who fawn over the thought of independence and not a lot else. She is worse. And hypocritical with it.

I can picture Ginger now, monocle in and draped over a green leather couch, a la Rees Mogg, pontificating and clicking his fingers at his serfs. πŸ˜‚

Ditto Johnson and Brexit.
Mind he held up the Kipper and railed against the big bad EU for British regulations?

I used to get the impression that Johnson was an intelligent guy who came across as buffoonish. Now i know it’s the opposite.
