Lets Celebrate Jamie Vardy

Just a mention for Barnes as well who got the assist fro Vardy's 100th Goal, he's another player who gets a mixed review from City Fans but it's interesting to note he's 5th in the Premier League Stat table for assists with 8 this Season so far.

A bit hit and miss in his form but I think he's having a very good Season.

Agree with everything True. Jamie Vardy deserves immense credit for his achievement. Leicester have been lucky to have him for as long as we have, but I think he’s also lucky to have Leicester. One of those times when a club and player just fit.

What I would say is he deserves his biggest credit for his development over that time. Yes he’s scored lots of goals but he wasn’t always the player he is today. His finishing has improved beyond recognition and he’s gone from being a “good” striker, to a genuine “top” striker in the premier league. His finishing is now clinical and varied.

It’s great to see a player can come through later but continue to develop over time. There were bumps, such as his start in the championship and step up to the premier league, but that for me just makes him even better, that he’s come through those confidence blips to be the player he is. Look at what confidence can do to the likes of Benteke and even a great Torres struggled once his confidence went.

Massive kudos to Vardy. It’s been a pleasure and privilege to watch and enjoy him playing for our club.

A Leicester legend? I think he has to be. Just below along in the order 😉

Surely He is 'The Leicester Legend' ?

That is and will always be Steve Walsh for me. But he will go down in history as one of our greatest players that is for sure.

The funny thing is, when he goes without scoring for a few games there’s still a part of you that goes: Well, that’s it, dream’s over, he’s back to being a lower league player. It doesn’t quite feel real.

Agree with all that..... Did Pearson at one point talk him out of quitting football or was that someone else?

Think so after his 1st or 2nd season championship?

He's propelled himself to top place of Leicester legends, no doubt about that.

Premier League legend.

Yeah, it was after his first season in the Championship, where hadn’t done well. Same season as when the now infamous picture was taken of him and an on-loan Harry Kane sitting on the bench in a Championship match.
But Pearson encouraged him and stuck with him, although I doubt even Pearson imagined he’d be here, years later, having scored 100 Premier League goals.

A top class Premier League player, or better than Ronaldo if you ask certain Leicester fans.

Don’t be silly. Probably on a par but definitely not better.

What an achievement. My all time favourite ever player, just pure class for us. I still worry how we will replace his goals when he eventually retires!

Vardy first 100 goals at 1 million quid is 10k per league goal.

Torres for Chelsea at 50 million quid and 20 league goals is 2.5 million per goal.

Let that sink in a mo!

He's referring to when Arro said he'd rather have Vardy than Ronaldo due to our Great Team spirit.
