Can’t see us winning all XI. Would turn out to be our best season post SAF if we somehow did.

We actually have the ability to beat everybody we might potentially play. The only thing that will stop us is, injuries and the fact that this is uncharted territory Ole and the players.

If we manage to do it, these wins will have a major positive psychological impact on the players. Knowing what it feels like to win as a team is important.

Top 4 and a trophy would be a fantastic conclusion, but those cup games will really be games that could go either way.

We seem to have given ourselves a good chance of top four now and it feels like it is in our hands, so if we win tonight then we have to target that as the priority imo.

We do but football doesn’t usually work like that. We’re probably a better side than every team we will face this season but it’s rare any team wins what would be 15 in a row.

Given we’ve beaten City and Chelsea 3 times this season, I’m amazed City are favourites for the cup. Yes on paper they are a better team but they’ve shown their defensive frailties lately.

We can beat anyone on our day. Which is becoming more and more frequent now.

Not suggesting it’ll be easy but we have a great chance of winning a trophy and getting top 4 now. Just need to be relentless and go for every game.

Positive times lads, for once

This is the way I see it - a winning run like that is rare no matter who you're playing and when it comes in the season. I fancy us for top four now but there will be dropped points. I think the FA Cup is going to be hard - we'd have to beat Chelsea for a fourth time this season and then (almost certainly) City as well, which would be a ridiculous record really. Can't really call the Europa at the minute.

With becoming a better team, we may have to deal with other teams taking a different approach. For example, City may not approach us thinking we are crap and they will win easily.

Hard to predict how we’ll fair in the EL with so many games played until them since the break. Ole seems to be wanting to keep the same starting XI (which is great to see) but that’s going to be impossible over the next 11 games.

I read that our return leg in the EL will be played at home which is a minor help for us. That’s definitely one game we can rest players.

Can't see us winning every single remaining game

CL qualification is a must. If we get that plus a cup then it would be a very good return

If we win every remaining game then like many have said it would be a phenomenal return.

Whatever happens the second half of the season is proof that we are progressing and heading in the right direction with a style that fills me with joy.

we're never winning 11 straight (on top of the 3 straight we've already managed), but we don't need to - i'm pretty sure leicester will drop (quite) a few more points before we meet them, we can obviously afford to lose against LASK, and we could even win the EL without winning another game (though with DDG in goal, and pogba and rashford on penalty duty, i'm not sure i want to try our luck that way).

but certainly reasons to be cheerful (part 3).

If you think we’re winning 11 games in a row, I’d get yourself down the bookies, because you’ll be able to make yourself a millionaire with a few hundred quid.

Really?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, not really. I just heard something in commentary the other day which implied they were clear favs which I don’t think is strictly the case.

But we’re not far off them in a one off game as we’ve shown 3 times already, twice away from home.

They always turn up in the domestic cups when it matters though so will likely win the FA.

Europa is going to be odd, with being straight knockout.
If it was 2 legs as normal, given our form I’d back us to beat anyone. 2 legs gives you the luxury of being not so good in one game and turning it around the next.

Straight knockout means no room for complacency, need favourable draws!

The bookies have us as ballpark 13/1 to win both trophies. That’s before any PL fixtures are taken into account.

I think we’d be looking at odds in the ballpark of 120/1 to win every remaining game.

if you watched the games its pretty evident why, plus city are favourites. I wouldnt be suprised if we were second favourites behind city too.

Villa game is a massive one. Lose to them and top 4 looks unlikely. Should be a interesting game. Villa have to go for the win. Anything else for them and they almost certain they are down.

why though?
we are a few points behind you, thats all, have been better than you since lockdown and beat you 3 times this season... where should the logic be that you are favourites ahead of us?

posted on 8/7/20

I dont think we should be favourites ahead of us, im commenting on you saying that its suprising city are favourites.

obvious reason city are favourites is because they pretty much have a bye to the final

With City, whenever they decide to turn up for a game then they are unplayable.

City at their best, versus us at our current best. I'd say City would win.

Would love to be wrong though.

Yeh, City will be favourites against us and rightly so.
