We may not see a crowd for a while, so best get used to it

Not so sure about that. Outdoor gigs are returning from this weekend, so won’t be surprised if stadium doors reopen for the start of next season at the latest.

FA was considering allowing fans for the FA cup final.

The comments comparing Greenwood to Ravel and Macheda are wide of the mark.
Ravel never broke through at Utd, despite his talent. Mason's attitude is so much better.
Macheda snatched a couple of crucial goals, but only a couple. Greenwood already has 16 for the season and looks in good enough form to score a few more before the season's end.
Greenwood looks closer to Owen or Fowler in terms of level of talent. If anything Greenwood looks more exciting as he's more two-footed and physically stronger.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not so much a case of a direct comparison with a particular player, more a case of not getting too carried away so early in a players career, and I would definitely class a comparison to George Best as getting carried away......

Before you get too carried away, remember Ravel?
Sir Alex Ferguson, I remember, he called me and Wazza [Wayne Rooney] over one day and said: “look at this kid, he’s better than you, Rooney when you were a kid, he’s better than you, Rio, better than Ryan Giggs when you were kids,” Rio Ferdinand once recalled. "This is the best kid you will ever see.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When you draw a comparison between two players, there is supposed to be some similarities.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fergie himself stated that Morrison would be the best kid you will ever see. 52 has stated that Mason is the next George Best.
Is that similar enough for you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't said he will be the next George, but I get the same feeling I had about, him on his first season. That o was seeing something special
the real discussion here should be about opportunity (europa and a manager who CLAIMS he cleared out rubbish to let players come through) and attitude
greenwood has profited from utd being in the europa and from utd needing to shed the massive wages of sanchez etc. (and injuries to rahsford as well)
Hes however got the right attitude to enable him grabbing that chance and has even come back better after lock down than he went into it.
I would have personally said compere greenwood to rooney. Utd might have signed rooney but the age profile is similar. its more of a fit IMO.
I think greenwood would be a better no 9 than rooney but he's not a no 10 which rooney did too much of in his time IMO.
As any one who's sat and watch that shrek headed hateful so and so warm up the guy was out of this world, absolutely out of this world off either foot but when the game started he never performed at anfield.
Greenwood is hitting goals off either foot for sport in games.
Steven Gerrard comes to mind when I see Greenwood play. Brilliant decision making and confidence in decisive moments coupled with outstanding ability, athleticism and intuition.

Are you a DJ?
On George Best, the most goals he scored for United before the age of 21 was 17 - Rooney and Kidd also equalled this tally - Greenwood is currently on 16. I don’t think some people quite realise how ridiculous it is what this kid is doing. He only turned 18 in October.
Yeah but Owen was epic at a young age as well, for club and country.
Yes and things Owen was doing were insane as a teenager. Greenwood’s doing things that only some of the greatest players in prem, and United, history have managed at a similar age. It’s not a common thing.
Yes I thought of Owen as a comparison.
I wanted a United player though, Geotge was a different kind of player, I just mean in talent.
You’re right Imran, not common at all which is why I’m having to go back to Owen for the last 18 year old who set the league alight! I hope he keeps it up for you guys, like I alluded to earlier, it makes things interesting for next season.
