I honestly am struggling to think of a player who’s come in and had the impact he’s had. He’s been incredible.

Lovren is just the fall guy. When Liverpool get beaten, VVD has been every bit as culpable as everyone else.
In fact, it's Matip that glues the Liverpool defence together. Generally, when the defence is ropey and they get beat and concede a few, it's when Matip is absent.
Here's my song for the amazing Bruno!

Macheda
😏
It isn't a surprise. You could see he would fit in any league due to his quality. Some players fluke assists and goals but his vision and shooting technique is incredibly good. He sees passes early and executes it although yesterday was his worst game for us in that regard.
Rashford had a similar impact when he first came in.

yup, liverpool fans love to pin the blame on a single (squad) player - karius, lovren, mignolet etc - since it then allows them to claim "we'd have won if we'd had our full team available".
this is exactly what happened when they lost to watford, though any neutral would have watched that and said "TAA and VVD looked awful didn't they?", rather than "that was all bl()()dy lovren's fault"
Has there ever been as sure a thing?

Haven’t you heard? Taa has no defensive issues at all, he’s better than Dani alves was apparently.
Been a great addition to the league, no little skill, works hard, plays with a smile on his face and is also a bit dirty.
There were no end of reports that said he didn't take care of the ball but Ive not seen much evidence of that.
Be interesting to see how teams try and counter him next season.

i try to ignore a lot of the "noise" - and that's being generous - that comes from that board...but boy was he a shambles against watford, if AWB had done that we'd never have heard the end of it.
