Another member of the 1966 winning squad gone too, seem to be losing a lot of them lately.

RIP Big Man. Hopefully back alongside Norman for the Barnsley game. The two of them defending in spirit as we go on to clinch promotion.

Our Centenary year and we seem to be losing our best at the wrong time!..

Jack was/is a favourite of mine, saw him at the Keighley College then on Cavendish Street when I was in the Scouts in the early 70's for a Q&A thing!..

He was funny!.

RIP Jack, I'm sure Don will have a place reserved so you can take your seat and hopefully Celebrate with the best at the seasons end!.

A legend in both Leeds and Ireland(the Irish absolutely loved Big Jack, they want a statue of him in Lansdowne road). What a loyal servant for Leeds - 773 games for us. His family can be very proud of him an I send them my sympathy. Another Leeds legend gone...

Sad to think he might miss us getting promoted..

Fantastic memories of Charlton for Leeds, but for every Irishman, June 12th 1988, in the sizzling heat of Stuttgart, is the day he breathed life into the Irish national team. Go raibh mile maith agat, Jack, go n-eiri an bothar leat. A thousand thanks, may the road rise to meet you.

Do you remember the look on his face when half the country turned out to greet the team, when they came back from the Euros? Big Jack took one look at the crowd, scratched his head, and said, 'I wonder what it would have been like if we had won the thing?'
