I'm going with intentions of lasting the afternoon and taking it easy. These will probably evaporate in the first 5 minutes

Did anyone see that Serge Aurier's brother was shot dead?

Man city appeal overturned.
Last few games just got very interesting

Kinda hard to see how FFP can remain a thing now in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was always a non starter imo

Football is multi nationally owned and based upon many differing sources of huge sums. How anyone expects that to be controlled is beyond me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup. missus asked me this morning what would happen and I was 99% confident they'd get off with it.

Corrupt and corruptible organisation imposing ban on very wealthy club known to have used corrupt means to bypass regulations before - what could go wrong?

Is this a warning of things to come this afternoon

The Man City decision is pathetic btw, no particular dislike of the club but the FFP rules are just not bothered with, risible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It throws the FFP out the window

Said similar to a mate this morning. Now that they (Man City) have shown that they can get away with it it now sets a precedence for any club.

Chelsea tried to get round it by getting every young player in the country and loaning them out until they either come good and save the club £50M in transfer fees or they sell them for a few million. Then they got limited in how many players you can have on loan.

My point is clubs will find ways round anything. they don't employ the best legal advice since Donald Findlay for nothing

FFP in its current form wasn't for fair play, it was a way to keep the top teams at the top.

I agree with that in a way. The top teams had got rich and by way of huge fees could stay there. It effectively stopped any overnight challenge from an outsider to the elite

Which elite?
The good wan or the wan that still comes on occasionally

Was on the waiting list last year and now this year for a season ticket. If I still dont get a ticket again this year, hoping they let us mugs that have been hanging about that long have some form of access to watching the games on telly
