With City's ban upheld,
=====================
it wasn't upheld...

Helped us in 2014 not having Europe, could be good for Arteta for a season to just have domestic competitions, push hard for a CL spot.

A year without Europa will do you good. Klopp first full season was without Europe and the following season with still then a poor squad we managed to finish 4th because he had time on the training pitch to work on the players, improve them and implement his style.

Arteta has same opportunity. Not sure he is the right guy though

Doesn’t the fa Cup place go to the next place team that hasn’t qualified for the CL?. Usually goes to the runner up but Even if we went out , City Utd , chelsea all finish top 4. Wouldn’t that fa Cup place go to us?. Could be wrong. Not that I’m desperate for Europa.

most other teams commit the time to better training, our players will commit the free time to fortnite and banter

I think usually Arsenal dropping out would be a good thing, but the decrease in revenue is more of a factor now than ever before

nah kroenkes sorted our debt for now so its not that much of a problem

From what I’ve read he has just restructured it, which doesn’t mean too much - and less so in terms of having excess cash to chuck on players/salaries

We've had our entire destiny in our hands since the league resumed. A chance to take points off Wolves, Leicester and Tottenham.

Of course it goes without saying that there's still 9 points to play for.

How would this be a good thing? You know very well how our club is run. We kill what we eat. Kroenke would never pay for a sandwich during a game, much less plough any cash into a squad rebuild.

If anything, he's currently in the process of literally rearranging the furniture in regard to our long-term debt commitments.

A decent run in the Europa will typically earn the club between £20-30m. Missing out on the upcoming campaign will only mean a bigger hole in Arsenal's books next year.

Which would only lead to ever more ludicrous two-bob short term measures by the clowns in charge.

We reduce the squad? Dont need a big squad.

Would the team with the best fair play record enter the qualification round? Arsenal won't for sure as they are sitting bottom with the worst disciplinary record.

And yet we're still seen as being a 'soft touch'.

Curious that, huh?

First you would have to ship out our entire medical/physio team for any of that to make sense.

Then the people in charge of repeatedly hiring quacks like these over and over.

But the medical team have done a good job of late

When was the last time a player was diagnosed as being out for a few weeks, only for it to turn into months?

Still an awfully low standard to judge them by. Especially for a club at this level.

The problem is the teams above us are looking to add quality as well as depth. Chelsea have already done that, and are still looking to do that. City will no doubt be splashing the cash especially now that their ban has been overturned - and their squad is already exceptional. United are without question going to spend big this Summer. Spurs are an unknown entity. However, man for man, I think they are slightly better than us anyway. Liverpool already have a top team as it is, but I'm sure they'll be looking to reinforce where possible.

Let's not forget the likes of Wolves, Everton and Leicester who will be looking to improve and spend fairly big chunks of cash too. Particularly as 2 of those 3 have recruited better than us and are a safe bet for European football.

So I don't think next season will be a great opportunity to get back into the top 4. We have the 'advantage' of playing less games, but the lack of quality in our team is the bigger obstacle.

No European football means less money which means less activity in the transfer market.

Even if we did get Europa football, I still couldn't envisage us spending much. Without Europa, we may well have to continue with the same players and hope our youth prospects turn good. Which is frightening to contemplate.

I don’t think Europa will have a huge impact on what we are going to spend on players, we’d have still be very tight even if we had Europa money. It doesn’t give you enough to totally change the amount you can spend on players. Obviously we’ll be getting less but the difference isn’t as big as missing out on the CL

Think of next season is a regrouping season using less matches and focusing on the domestics - no need for europe distraction in your situation - would be a good thing without for a season...this will allow arteta to strengthen the squad
