Part of what you say is true but I wouldn't call it arrogance. Australia are the best team in the world at the moment so building a team that can beat them effectively means you're building a team that should be good enough to beat anyone.

India is easily the best the team in the world in test cricket though Australia has been the best team for majority since evolution of test cricket

I'm pretty sure this is the first time in a good few years Australia are number 1 in test Cricket. India Have been consistently number 1 for the last 4 years so yes I'd agree in recent years India have been the best team in test Cricket.

His form over the last 18 months is incredible, batting average of 62 and a bowling average of 29 so you can't argue about his status in world cricket at the moment.
I think that incident in Bristol has been the making of him really as he was becoming a top player prior to it but I think it's made him realise how fortunate he is and you're right, he's a down to earth, humble, modest and willing to do what whatever he has to do for the team.
He believes in himself but he puts the team before himself. He'll bowl marathon spells against two set batsmen with an old ball knowing the main job is to try and keep things tight and hope for a mistake.
