Would like some fresh legs in this game.

Bergwijn, lamela & Skipp would be my choices
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Skippy a bit meh for me. Hope the lad makes it, but is going to be another Carrol, Mason etc?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Skipp will turn out to be a solid DM. No problem with that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should be out on loan, like others too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely, this was my biggest complaint about poch. Hopefully Jose doesn’t do the same. Either loan or play these youngsters

Just read that Jose has said Aurier trained this afternoon. Surprised he is not back in France so guessing there is a chance he will play?!

Wonder if Jose would make him captain given the circumstances? Left field I know but it might cut the mistakes out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not even football related, but Aurier shouldn’t be playing. How can anyone be in the right frame of mind with that terrible tragedy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dunno if you remember but David Howells he once played even when he found out his father has died. Scored in the game too Against Norwich I think?

Right anyone else think next season will be Skipp's year?

I think this young chap has come on leaps and bounds, and learns very quickly.

A better version of Freund, for those with memory!

skipp should get a championship loan

with another DM coming in he'll get even fewer minutes

Ah, not sure!

Jose likes him too! Kind of a dad thing I believe

The Spurs youth team have a unhealthy obsession with producing small centre midfielders like Carroll, Mason, Winks and Skipp.

Would love it if we produced a player like McTominay or a Ruben Lofus-Cheeks. Proper CM's not these kids who take ages to develop. Was gutted when Onomah left the club especially after winning the WC with England at youth level.

clarke too

we absolutely faacked up his loan both times round. 5 appearances all season is criminal

So weird as he still getting picked for eng u19 and playing superb.

Every time he’s got on pitch for QPR their fans love him.

Strange all round

Take Billy Gilmour for example. 18 years old and looks far more ready for 1st team footbal than Skipp does who is 1 or 2 years older.

Skipp looked fine the two occasions.

In regards to heights, you can short players in the midfield and they can better than McTominay. Not about height, its about attitude.

Love this idea that we have a template for "small" midfielders

whiteman another one we've messed up

turns 22 in october and never played a minute of senior football, how does that even happen

i love poch but i really dont know what he was thinking with this stuff, seems like the only players he loaned out were the ones he didn't think had a future

Do you see what I mean though? I know someone who used to teach the youth players NVQ's or some sort of diploma. He said the same thing how Spurs love little midfielders at youth level. I think they are trying to find the next Xavi when we should be looking to find the next Dembele. Beast!

I dunno you’ve compared Skipp to another lovely little footballer in Gilmour here.

But yes we seem to be developing the same type of players but that could be due to the bigger and better players get snap up by the bigger academies like city, united & Chelsea

Agreed but we tend to put faith in these mini men and they rarely go on to be really good footballers. Just average ones. Just looked up Cirkin's height...5ft 11 which is decent and Tanganga is 6 ft too. Parrot is just under 6 ft. Taller players defo have an advantage in making it to the big time. At least Jose has recognised this. Fairplay to him for giving Skipp some minutes ahead of Ndombele on Sunday.

Gilmour is 5ft 7. 3. Every inch counts. LOL
