And nothing say about where Barnsley are in the League - honestly?

We could have reversed the positions and that would have been a more accurate picture - totally woeful performance today...

I think we can still lose and get in on goal difference? If Swansea won 2-0 and we lost 2-0 I think we would still make it?

Yep that’s true - but knowing Forest, we’ll let in a 99th minute goal and lose 0:3

Utterly shambolic, yet entirely predictable. Comfortably second best to the bottom team. Little threat, poor formation/selection.
Thoroughly underwhelmed with Lamouchi and his reading of the game. Not just this one either.
Our game management is risible and the late conceding of goals would be amusing, if it weren’t so bloody predictable.
Perplexed how such a poor team could be in with a chance of the play-offs.

Six minutes. Where is that from ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we have to let in our customary 90+ minute goal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I predicted it as we went into injury time

Did I believe we actually would again?

I was about 70% certain we would...

...and we did

As you say, it would be a Audi g if it wasn’t so bloody predictable and typical

Seriously annoyed with our manager

Once is lazy
Twice is naive
3 times is really silly
4 times is bloody ridiculous
5, 6 & 7 times, well the manager is verging on the sack

We have conceded in added time in 6 of the 8 games since the restart. We have lost only 4 away games all season, which is quite remarkable but they were at Wigan, B’ham, ‘Udders and Barnsley, all of which are in the relegation battle, not Wigan’s on field fault. Today I don’t think we had a shot on target, against a team bottom of the league. For the amount of experience in our side our ‘game management’ is comical. Knowing Forest we will make the play offs just to give us more games of torture/frustration. I was hoping we might learn from our mistakes but that obviously isn’t going to happen, please Stoke put us out of our misery.

Dave, I’m sure come Wednesday, all will be forgiven, if not bloody forgotten

Well all be up for it, but I’m 99% certain and prepared to Benin the Division next season

TBH - some of our displays this season, it’s a wonder we’re not in Barnsley’s position?

One of ‘NEP’ headlines is ‘didn’t deserve that sucker punch’. I could disagree with a statement more, we were absolutely pitiful, woeful, clueless, shocking, etc, the entire game, SB said Samba could have played ‘if it was important’, no wonder we lost with that kind of arrogant attitude. Rev, how many more excuses can we make for these hopelessly inept performances, I am fast running out patience.

Dave, I’m seriously unconvinced by our manager and his tactical approach, to play a line striker at home, we’ll that says it all - we’ve had some amazing results this season (God knows how) but they have definitely been overshadowed by some absolutely woeful performances, especially against the lower places clubs

We’ve managed to scrape through so many games, and at times we’ve got away with daylight robbery, which is what has allowed us to believe we're actual promotion contenders - which is an absolute joke, how we are in the playoffs is beyond reason

And yes, I’m becoming more frustrated with our managers attitude, tactics and approach

The quality and resources at hand for our club Is immense, and puts other clubs to shame, yet they’ve outplayed us and made us look inept at times

Anyone else with an ounce of understanding would be able to walk this Division with the squad and resources that have been invested in this team

The manager will see that all too well if we begin next season like we’ve played the majority of this one

He’ll be sacked by Christmas irrespective of what Division we’re in

Do you really think we will be able to hang on to some of our better players, Cash, Lolley maybe Worrall this summer and even wonder how they feel about playing such negative football. It’s seems churlish to be complaining about being sat 5th in the table with 70 points on the board, especially after our recent seasons, but the manner of our last 10-12 games really is quite worrying. SB needs to find a system that puts us more on the front foot and less on the defensive or he won’t survive.

Yep totally agree

It remains to be seen just who comes and goes when the season ends, it’s a cliché, but it all depends on what League we’re in

Terrible and now becoming “classic Forest”. Any of the teams in the play offs know they can thump it into the box and we’ll fall apart. Fulham in particular will be good at that with Mitrovic.

It’s not unimaginable that we could drop out of play offs but even if we cling on let’s face it we won’t win them and we certainly aren’t ready to go up.

I’m less critical of the manager though as the players have to take the blame for these late goals. What on earth are they doing?

You say that caniggia, but the best form of defence has always been attack - they can’t score if the balk is in the other half

The manager should instil a level of confidence within the team that allows them to dare to cross the bloody half way line rather than set up camp in our own penalty box from minute 1

Our tactic this season has been to control games through restricting chances and then wait for mistakes and take teams on break. When it works it is brilliant and Grabban has been pretty good. Unfortunately the other attacking players, bar Lolley who hasn’t been as good as last season, have not stepped up. Ameobi scoring two the other night was pretty rare so it’s all on Grabban and he needs some competition. He must be knackered.

But Dawson and Worral have got to be better at clearing lines.

Tbh Grabban only sees his team mates, before kickoff, at the new ‘time out’ sorry drinks breaks, at half and full time, those apart, I can only imagine he is ‘isolating’ he is that far removed from play. Amazing he has notched 20 goals a real credit to him. As a matter of interest how long left on his deal, anybody know ??

Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi:

"The desire of Barnsley players was important and they deserved to win because they want this win more than us. They run more, they fight more, they win the duels and in football, if you don't win the duels and if you don't run, it's difficult.

"The desire today was in the Barnsley side and not in the Forest side.

"The spirit in the dressing room was absolutely terrible but my job is to talk with them honestly. The manager needs to take the responsibility and this is my responsibility.

"If we want to play in the play-offs, it is in our hands. One point against Stoke and we will play in the play-offs. We need to recover, have a good rest and on Wednesday play a clever game."

============
I was waiting to hear what his response would be

It’s the kind of language that gets some manager’s the sack - he’s honest, which is good, but he’s basically admitting that spirit in the Dressing Room was terrible and that was his responsibility and fault

Not good enough I’m afraid

It isn’t good enough BUT he’s got us into a better position than any of the many other managers we’ve had over last 10 years. His tactics have got us into play offs and at our best we’ve beaten the sides in the top 6. The manager needs to seriously get this team back motivated to finish the season

Rev, the season has been so crazy I wouldn’t bet against it. Dot forget when ‘Udders went up they didn’t score a goal themselves but went up via pens.
Most annoying of all the goals we’ve conceded at the death of games, I am struggling to think of any that Kate that have gained us some points. Anybody think of any ??
