Money is tight. Mel wants to flog us and his preferred suitor is inside.
There'll be no marquee signings so it'll be down to Cocu to get the best out of the kids.
Fortunately the crop is maturing nicely and if we can keep them another season then we could be ok.
But with money the way it is and the word being out on Knight, Bird and Sibley I have concerns we'll be able or willing to beat off interested parties.

We need a goalie too.

At least one of those could be a loan. Wouldn’t necessarily break the bank. Add a fit Marriott, Holmes and te Wierek to the current squad plus the modest incomings I suggested and we don’t look a million miles away to me.

Derby County: Roos (GK), Shinnie, Waghorn, Clarke, Martin, Rooney (C), Davies, Bogle, Knight, Bird, Buchanan.

Substitutes: Hamer (GK), Forsyth, Jozefzoon, Marriott, Evans, Lowe, Sibley, Whittaker, Brown.

Buchanan starts. Like it. Not so keen on dropping Sibley.
