Well well well. Great win, well played Chris Woakes, but it's hard not to see this as a match thrown away by Pakistan.

Only negative is that Buttler has bought himself another 5 chances in Ed Smith's eyes Nice bit of redemption though after a bad first few days. Hopefully he can do this more often, he's clearly got it in him.

Roll on the 2nd test - hopefully we'll bring Crawley or even Foakes back in to shore up the batting as Stokes is a place too high and we want our best bats in their best spots.

This is only the third time 200 plus has been chased down at Old Trafford Sandy

Our bowling was way overrated before this test. You have a inexperienced 17, 19 and 21 year old and it was the seamers who lost us the test.

277 should have been enough. One logic defying partnership has won us the match.

Jos speaks so well in interview. A credit to the team.

Yes they do but we needed another experienced head today. Lesson learnt for the young ones. Hopefully we play Wahab next. More pace and reverse.

Time for a serious comment for a change .

Unbelievable that we’ve won that. Brilliant test match, to think some people want to scrap it, just crazy.

Fair play to Buttler and Woakes, didn’t thought they had that kind of resilience in them but they showed it today.

Still think it was more a case of Pakistan losing the test than us winning it but good to take advantage.

Pak look a better side than us so that sets it up for a great series.

Well played England, great partnership from Woakes and Buttler.

We lost it yesterday with the shiiiit show in the 2nd innings.

I expect Crawley to come in for the next game instead of one of the seamers.

With us, I don't know what we do. We need an extra batsman, 2 leggies are not required. So Shadab could be replaced by Fadi. Might be worth rotating one of the seamers as it's a short turnaround
