Strange England not gone for a quick bowler to replace Archer, i.e. Wood.

His pace isn't down because he's bowling with an old ball. I'm pretty sure all of his spells where he's cranked the speed up well over 90mph have come with an old ball. His new ball spells have generally been down in the mid 80s where he's looking to pitch the ball up to find swing.

Just looking at espncricinfo as they provide some useful stats, Abid Ali's control percentage is at 68%. That's remarkably low for someone who's still in after 100 balls although he should have been out twice

Looks like it will be his day today.

I lost mine and had a right go at my builder who’s working in the garden telling him he must have hit into a wire

To many stoppages . Helps the bowlers, the get to rest. Hinders the batsmen, their concentration goes.

Play to restart at 4 as they're currently taking tea, hopefully we can get a long session in till close with no more stoppages but you sense light could become an issue later.

Play to resume at 4pm, apparently.
