Isn’t in their top five for average key passes, completed passes, offensive dribbles, aerials won, interceptions, clearances, blocks, completed dribbles...
What is he actually doing all game?

Yeah I don’t particularly agree with the narrative myself, I’d think it would have more to it if the Liverpool team didn’t have a few natural leaders in it anyway.

I thought Ginola was a superb player - although I take your point about timing.
He was, but he wasn’t anywhere near Beckham’s level. Though Beckham was public enemy number one after the 98 world cup so it’s unsurprising. But that should actually fit with a good narrative to comeback and perform like he did in an unprecedented season in football history.

Yeh I agree, I guess he stood out individually where United won the treble very much as a team.
Think it was a bit too soon for Beckhams redemptive arc to come through, he got that more from England games rather than United ones.
It’s usually a tradition to give it to a Liverpool player when they don’t win the league

Like vvd being in the ballon did running, Henderson would not be my pick, but nothing against the choice. The guys Been excellent and a driving force for Liverpool not unlike kante for Leicester when they won it. Obviously I think kante is a better player but don’t get the people who hate on Henderson.
