To be fair it looks like that is only based on the whoscored.com rating system for each position.

It is a good website in general for many stats but the player points can be a little erratic, a tackle, card, assist or goal changes the rating completely.

It is what it is. A central midfield duo of Eze and Pereira is getting totally overrun. But they've got points for scoring goals. You'd never pick that team to play an actual game if you had the whole championship to choose from.

Bull sh. 1 T line-up.

Fook the EFL. Going up.

Saying that, I'd jump at the chance of getting
Eze, Benrahma, and Mitrovic in our squad.

The attacking aspect of that side is spot on, the defensive side however is nonsense. How are Ben White and Kalvin Phillips missing from that side? Even Dallas is probably a better shout than Bryan. Madness from a Leeds loving organisation

Spot On

And the team you would pick would be the one that amassed 93 points

I guess with it being ratings based and 442, with an obvious bias to attacking midfielders skews it a bit. That said, can’t argue with pereira, eze and Benrahma... would love all 3 of them in a Leeds shirt.

Would imagine there’d be good chance of Phillips, white and maybe an outside chance of Pablo making the pfa team.

7 players from London clubs and two from the teams promoted automatically.

Prefer the eye test myself, but centre halves apart you can’t argue with the players picked ... just the system.

Without looking at stats, Morrison probably made more tackles, blocks and won more headers in a team far less dominating than ours, only explanation I have. Suprised the FL pin up boy Knockeart aint on it.

Can be the only explanation. What your defenders did, they did very well, just probably a lot less often than other teams'. Most games I watched of yours this season were played mostly in the opposition half.

Just to point out, this is just some random websites team of the year, not the football leagues.

Odd team

Leeds team were the 2nd highest scorers, best defence, most wins, most points, best passing stats, best, ball possession!!

The best right back only apparent

Would imagine the “official” team would see many more players to be honest

Collectively as a team, we are the best in the league, individually, man for man, I'm not sure we are apart from Pablo, White, Ayling and Phillips.

posted on 25/7/20

and this is exactly why football is a team game, not an individual game. You can have a bunch of rank average players - take the Leeds players as an example prior to Bielsa arriving - and a great manager can transform them into more than the sum of their parts.

How many of those individuals would have fit into the Bielsa way of playing? We will probably never know, but that is the key to our onward progress. Commitment and loyalty to the full cause, not to themselves

posted on 25/7/20

do they name a manager or is that just too obvious.

posted on 25/7/20

To be honest, it's hard to make the case on individual performance for Leeds players to get into that team.

Goals and assists have a huge weighing on Whoscored ratings.

That midfield all hit double figures, none of ours did. Two strikers were the top scorers. Cooper and White spend most of their time passing not defending.

Only surprise is Bryan at left-back as I'm sure one of Dallas or Alioski has more goals/assists than him.

meh, tbh our quality is within the whole team, not individuals
