So we are in the Premiership...

I thought so too but pressed ‘teams’ there and seems you are still championship level.
I suspect Ivan passed him an STD?
I'll go with this:
Siegrist
Sounds like a disease....

anyone else feel like first names would be handy with this bunch of unknowns?
Apart fro Reynolds, Pawlett and Whankland, I know those 3

Of course you know Pawlett, he's the Aberdeen "wonderkid" who ended up so poor he's spent the last two seasons slumming it in the Scottish Championship.
Wait...
Cant say I ever thought of him as a wonderkid lol
Anyway, I'd go for:
Siegrist
Bolton Reynolds Connolly Robson
McMullan Butcher Harkes Appéré
Shankland Clark
Bench: Mehmet, L. Smith, Sporle, Powers, Glass, Pawlett, C. Smith
No chance I'd be starting Pawlett. Guy was absolutely finished at Championship level - needs to do a Fyvie and drop down a couple of leagues.
Bit worried about the spine of the team too. Only Butcher inspires confidence there - Harkes can be hit-and-miss and the two centre-backs were often frightening even in the Championship. Think their mistakes will be punished a lot more this season.
Our bench also looks extremely thin. A couple of players there I'd have out the club rather than on the bench. Hopefully there's a few promising youngsters.

TBF you were aff yer heid afore lockdown.
I was listening to the Dode Fox Podcast and I was interested to hear that he played Butcher at CB (think Reynolds is struggling?) and at one point lined up with three at the back.
Given the winger we signed from Man City was playing at full back for Luton(?) last year then it might well be that he's thinking about that formation for the season ahead.
It would obviously see Harkes and Powers in the middle of the park with either Pawlett or McMullan in behind a front two of Shankland and Appere (unless Clark is fit enough to play).
I still expect us to bring in two or three more to bolster the squad.

I could literally name about three players from most Premiership teams these days.
