He clearly likes what he has seen from Balogun in training plus he is match fit what with Wigan's season not long finishing.

Morelos had to start as frankly, there aren't that many other options.

Bench looks fairly strong though and that may make a big difference given that 5 subs are permitted.

Lack of a home crowd makes a massive difference to this game.

Always been the 12th player for Eberdeen.

Still don't get why we are permitting 5 subs - what is the reasoning behind it?

It just gives the so-called 'smaller' teams even less chance when they come up against a 'bigger' team.

Hope there are none of those water breaks either.

All the best to both Aberdeen and Rangers today. I hope you both get the results you are after. From a die hard neutral fan.

It might be more difficult to breakdown lesser teams as they won't tire later on if they can make 5 subs.

Not really any game changers on that bench.

Hopefully the eleven on the pitch can put these kants away early doors.

I would say that Barker, Stewart or Murphy are more than capable of changing a game, especially Barker based on pre-season efforts.

Definitely Stewart or Murphy. SG saying that Barker has been excellent but not seen any evidence

Against Nice (before he got injured) he was showing glimpses of what he is capable of. The old speed was definitely back but with a decent end product, too.

Fair enough. To be honest I don't rate Stewart, so hopefully we don't see him at any point. We'll have to see if Barker can transfer that pre-season form over to a competitive environment. I didn't even notice Murphy on the bench at first.

TBF to Stewart - if he gets the ball inside the box then it normally ends up in the back of the net. Proper old school poacher. Just hasn't had the chance due to Morelos and Defoe being ahead of him and SG not favouring 2 up top.

Greg Stewart got 14 goals in the premiership 5 years ago. Admittedly that was for a far more attacking side than this Rangers one

I can’t fault Stewart for his goals and effort so far
