Rate Arteta as a coach/student of the game, but he has some job on at Arsenal. Miles off being a top 4 club, never mind title contenders.
======================

Not doing too bad. That’s Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea beat within two weeks. Didn’t really rate him myself but fair play to him.

Looking unlikely so far!

Looked at the 2 benches before KO ... massive gulf in quality. Chelsea have about 5 or 6 game changers ... Arsenal have nae cant!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal really are in freefall, Arteta looks like he has been sold a bogey

To be fair, I was basing my opening comments on Arsenal’s performances over a season (4/5th highest wages ... 8th in league, with a shocking 56 pts, FORTY THREE behind Liverpool). That’s a huge rebuilding job in anybody’s books. Their bench yesterday WAS pash as well ... Which is why they only used 3 of 5 subs, and not until 82, 88 and in injury time.

Played well on the day though. Deserved winners.

No real in terest in what KT does other than demonstrate that a good player from a "Mickey Mouse" league is still a good player player in the so called Elite EPL.
Personally fed up with KT and his i love Celtic pash
If he truly did he would still be here going for 10 plenty time for a move after that.

That's about £5m in extra earnings he'd be giving up not to mention the better development he will get in a stronger league, potentially increasing his earnings yet again - already being talked about for ManU, Chelsea, City. That's a lot of consideration. Good on him for taking what must have been a hard decision.

Anyone who doubts the lad's credentials as a 'celtic man' is deluded. Great to watch him standing out in that league.

I have no issue whatsoever with KT going to the EPL to forward his career as has been stated hes making megabucks.
What I do have issue with is the celtic super fan pash .
Many many hoops players over the years were fans of the club but didn't feel the need to show up in the stands when not playing or grab a megaphone to conduct the choir .Calmac for one is a born n bred celtic man but he's never acted like KT.
For me what KT did is the same as BR and he has been vilified and yet KT is not? Double standards methinks ?
I remember well King Kenny leaving and being booed on his return
Henke gave us his best years when he had the pick of the elite ,and yet the suoerfan left with 10 in sight ? Ho figure

I'd suggest one reason he isn't on the Rodgers level dislike is he didn't leave part way through a season and I don't think he forced it, him and the club felt it was the right time.

Aww feck off man its warped thinking because i dont agree with some ??? There are a lot of hoops fans who feel the same as i do! who's right and who's wrong?? Its an opinion mate thats all! and even in these warped police nanny state days that were being forced into just now we are ALL still entitled to an opinion.
Teirney for some is a Celtic legend? for me he didn't stay nearly long enough to become that.I wish him no harm and im glad hes proving himself down there but as i said i really dont care what he achieves in any other team.Lets agree to disagree

Just think he was and still is way OTT with his look at me im a big Celtic man pash .As i said b4 there have been many many many Celtic players in the past and present who are huge Celtic fans but never felt the need to demonstrate it like KT did/does.Hes only just turned 23 he was 22 when he left he had plenty of years ahead of him ,he will still only be 23 at the end of the season thats just started, his big move would still have come. And as i said Henke came to us from a background where he most certainly wasnt a Celtic fan but grew to love the club and gave us his peak years.KT has fecked off well b4 his peak.
BTW no need for the Mabawza pash.

Agree on the Mabawza pash. Dreadful stuff.

However, i disagree on your comparison with Henrik. Very different times.

Henrik was very loyal to Celtic and i totally respect the guy but he was getting £40k a week at Celtic when Man Utd would have given him £50k. Still a big difference over a few years.

Nowadays he'd be getting £30k a week at Celtic and more than £100k a week at a big EPL club. Different gravy.

You have a point Magnum but Henke really could have had his choice of elite clubs but stayed at the hoops and gave us his prime years.KT has done a Charlie Nicholas IMHO and as i said i cant think of ONE Celtic player over my 50 years of supporting the hoops that has felt the need to "demonstrate" his "love" of all things Celtic that KT feels the need to??
It is of course a short career and injury can end it at any time, and i understand his decision to move. I just have no interest in what he achieves elsewhere.

The days of Henrik and now Tierney couldn’t be further apart in terms of finance and social media.

I just don’t get this attitude towards Tierney because whenever he is interviewed or spoken to, he continues to profess his feelings for Celtic. He’s still a very relatively young guy and when it comes down to it I’ve seen grown middle aged men as supporters behave like bloody kids when it comes to their “love” for what is essentially a football club.

Any other player who leaves and then speaks highly of the club is lauded for it.

I'd have done exactly the same thing.

Also, he could have gone to Arsenal a year earlier than he did

Each to their own Ritchie. You have expressed your views pretty strongly but I do not agree with them. KT is and will be a Celtic fan and I don’t think many could disagree with that.
