KT left the dream of 10 behind to go and earn some serious money.
he's up there with Rodgers in the terms of fans

To deny KT is and always will be a Celtic fan is just nonsense.
I’ve also noticed we don’t see as many comparisons between KT and other left backs as we used to. Strange.

Nobody is denying KT is a hoops fan ???
My issue is with him attempting to display how much of a die hard fan he is by joining the crowd when not fit to play and grabbing megaphones to conduct the fans singalongs.
Cant think of ANY Celtic player over the last 50 years feeling the need to do this ??
Can you?
Many of those players were also diehard Hoops fans.
Then after all this posturing as some sort of hoops mega fan living his dream by playing for us he then fecks of at the age of 22 when the historic 10 is in sight?
Kenny Dalglish didn't leave until he was 26 and he was raised as a Rangers fan!!!
yes i get the fact that the riches in the EPL are a massive draw but its not as if he wasnt already a wealthy young man he was earning something in the region of £1.5M a year at Celtic ?
He had his whole career ahead of him too and plenty time to cash in on his talent after the 10 was achieved.
As i said good luck to KT but i really dont care what he achieves at clubs other than Celtic.
I’ll reply to that pile of keech when my in laws have left.
Tierney was forced out by the board. They wanted the money the same as they have done to the rest.
One thing our board will never do is spend to win the ten
Timmy. Do you never get sick of posting utter tripe. It stopped being funny years ago if it ever was.
They have spent enough to win 9. I'm not sure why 10 would be any different.

What makes you think he needed to do that?! That’s just your opinion on it, and it lacks any substance or evidence. I’ve only met him on a couple of occasions. One of those was when he went to watch a pal of his play a game at the same pitches my boy was training at. He never refused anyone that came up to him and asked for a pic or a signature. He was exactly the same the second time I met him at a slightly more private event. He was genuine, and it was never strained at any time from him.
It’s a ridiculous comparison between the players of now, and players of 50 years ago. It’s a completely different world. Look at social media and the wage disparity between players and fans compared to years ago.
I’ve no doubt he was influenced by Rodgers, and although we got him to sign a long contract, Rodgers got him to change agents. The chance to play for Arsenal, and the significant increase in wages would make it difficult to turn down. It’s why footballers do what they do. It’s fanciful to believe anything other than that.
I don’t really have any issue with you not bothering about how he does in his career now that he’s left, but you’re making a bit of a tadger of yourself over the rest of it. KT was, is, and always will be a Celtic fan.

1. At no time did i say KT is not a Celtic fan??
2.Can YOU Name a player in the last 50 years who has acted like KT re the joining fans in the stands when not fit and picking up a megaphone to lead the choirs???
It all seemed great at the time ie a player living the dream playing for his beloved boyhood club until of course the first big club came knocking and waving their wad of notes at him.Makes it all seem a bit hollow to me now??
And it echoes of BR who has been vilified for doing the same.Personally i see little difference ?Both did great jobs for the club and both moved on at the first opportunity to make more money
BTW nice to hear you dont have an issue with my not being interested in his career outside of Celtic
Why is it that any time someone doesnt agree with the clique on here that they are abused?? I mean cmon tea Feck Tadger ?? WTF are you 12??

Povs no in the clique so you can put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Asks me if I’m 12 after using the clique patter.
At me as well!
Anyway, like I said-some über fan pash being stated on here. You want examples of players being in amongst the fans? Peter Grant did it (don’t think it was a regular thing), and Mo Johnston (defo not regular!) did it as well when they weren’t fit. I think Griffiths has done it as well more recently?! I doubt there’ll be examples of any using megaphones, mainly because that’s a more recent thing. But I still don’t get what your point is?! Do you think he did it because he felt he had to show how big a fan he is-or is there maybe a chance he did it because he actually is a massive fan. The megaphone thing I believe was the GB that started that with him when he went to get a pic in front of them, and they gave him the megaphone.
Arsenal weren’t the first big club to come knocking. They tried before that, as did Everton. And he didn’t do a midnight flitting like BR, so there’s a massive difference.
BTW-you said earlier on the thread that Cal Mac was a born and bred Celtic man-he’s not.
I don’t get why Celtic fans wouldn’t wish him well. He is a genuine fan. He got an opportunity that few here would get, and he went for it. You think he shouldn’t have left because he held a megaphone, and sat amongst our fans.
By all means, you’re allowed your opinion, but others are allowed to disagree and point out that it’s fairly childish and naive to think that players won’t look out for themselves these days. Trying to compare today’s players to those of 50 years ago is pointless as well.

How do you know Arsenal weren't the first big club to come in for him??Do you believe what you read in the papers ?If so we are signing around 100 new players this month
As for players mixing in with fans over the years then i wasnt aware that Granty did? but the other 2 are dubious characters to say the least and not just because one signed for Rangers and the other is a Hibee
I didn't say that i dont wish him well i said i understood why he would leave (for money)but that I subsequently have no interest in his career outside of Celtic
As you pointed out yourself im entitled to my opinion just as the rest of us on this forum are .And of course you are fully entitled to disagree with me but is there really any need for abuse??I mean tadger ,childish and naive?? FFS!!! just because i said something you disagree with WTF?? who is really being childish here you or me??Is this the way you normally conduct yourself when you disagree with someones point of view

I doubt there’ll be examples of any using megaphones, mainly because that’s a more recent thing. But I still don’t get what your point is?! Do you think he did it because he felt he had to show how big a fan he is-or is there maybe a chance he did it because he actually is a massive fan. Arsenal weren’t the first big club to come knocking. They tried before that, as did Everton. And he didn’t do a midnight flitting like BR, so there’s a massive difference.

I think your comments and criticism of KT are well over the top. The fact you’ve continued it is what makes me think your comments make you a bit of a tadger.
I’ll leave it at that.

Can I just point out that Ritchie started by posting his views and others joined in. POV can also say what he likes and so can I without any comments from you. 👍

What an utterly shambolic mess of contradictions that is.
Go back and read the thread. It was you that criticised Ritchie in the first place and introduced the childish name calling.
Now you're all for free speech.
