Premier League meeting tomorrow with 4 items on the agenda;
Will the 5 subs rule introduced this summer be retained for next season
What changes will be made to the use of VAR (although UEFA are hoping that a Europe wide consistent policy will be agreed)
Policy for the gradual reintroduction of fans to stadiums from October
Policy to be agreed on what happens if next season can’t be finished due to another lockdown
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure I read that the 5 subs rule will be continued next season but the manager/coach doesn't have to comply if they don't want to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing decided until tomorrow gem. 14 clubs have to vote in favour for it to continue. Expectation is that it won’t get that much support

BREAKING
PL clubs vote against five substitutes in 2020-21
Simon Stone
BBC Sport
Premier League clubs have voted against extending the experiment with five substitutes per side for the 2020-21 season.
FIFA had allowed individual leagues the power to decide whether to allow the concept to continue after it was introduced for the restart following the break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But, at a meeting of the clubs today, it has been decided to revert back to the old system.
Many clubs felt it was unfairly benefiting the major clubs.
Yeah I was wrong about that Premier League meeting which was today not tomorrow
They also voted to fully accept the Europe wide proposals for revising var that are being put together by Arsene Wenger in his role with fifa. This will almost certainly lead to referees consulting the pitchside monitor more than we have been used to in England
