Not sure how much truth there is here!..

https://financialfootballnews.com/leeds-uniteds-2019-finances-bielsa-era/

But it does say although we're not the best off we're doing ok!..

I think!..

And at the moment nobody knows what's coming our way, some have mentioned there's money being thrown around here and there and some has Leeds United written on it!..

Been linked now to Leganes Argentinian left back Jonathan Silva according to there side. 3 million for a former Roma and Sporting player, steal.

4 quality additions plus a promising youngster would be just about perfect imo...

White
Buendia (relieve pressure on pabs)
Foyth
Benrahma (Goals) (or JKA if we're obliged)
Geldhart (understudy Goals)

Would also prefer us to replace Casilla, but we'll see.

That’s the point - AR hasn’t said there is 45m. Some journalist has.

If we have to pay out the £63m plus the losses of potentially 1.5 seasons of no gate receipts / match day income where is the £45m coming from?

Club is already heavy in debt with a first team squad on big money And 3-4 year deals still left.

Sure I read AR say that Covid has cost the club £30m!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I understand. I thought you were saying most of the £45m has already been spent. But realise you are saying that with the money that has already gone out you don’t think we can afford a budget of £45m.

I can see where you are coming from. But I think the way in which we are told transfers are valued and paid for is nonsense. It’s over simplified and also mostly speculation. Most transfers are paid in instalments. I would also assume that the cost of promotion includes contractual wage increases which will be spread over the duration of this 3 and 4 year contracts you talk about. And do we know how much income will be brought in from the Adidas deal and any new sponsors?

There’s way too many variables for us to know the current financial situation at the club.

How soon do they sit down with the guys who got us there and renegotiate their salaries. I see this as a huge problem, there is already a disparity in wages between players wages, Kiko is one of our higher earners for example.
New players coming in will expect premier league wages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They will all have had wage increases In their contracts upon promotion.

For example, i cant imagine there is anyway that when Phillips signed a new contract he dudnt insist on premiership wages when we went up

I would have thought that it's quite easy for players to negotiate a decent pay rise upon promotion because it's basically a no lose offer for the club to make.

Some good contributions to this thread, which was really aimed at whether we should blow most of the apparent transfer budget on White at this point.

I read elsewhere that now the club is a member of the PL, its value has increased. AR has said he's now sitting on a 300m asset and if we consolidate our membership of the PL over the next few seasons, the value could increase exponentially. The sleeping giant has woken, etc.

Blowing the budget on White seems to make sense if consolidation is the target over the next three seasons.

Better if the Club say to Bielsa what he can spend and keep it private!..

Fans saying its not enough, other clubs seeing it then over pricing their players, as long as the manacoach knows what he has surely lets him know its his pot and stops others over inflating their prices!..

Hopefully 45m is only a figure between the club and Bielsa and more backing will be given if push comes to shove, because if it isn't then forget about White!..
